The Jolly Plum - United Republic of Nations

The clock strikes 7PM, though the sound is lost over the general din of the tavern. A lively song plays on the jukebox, an old Tsungi horn and mandolin jaunty that matches the activities going on around the room. The bartender ducks as a man is thrown over the bar, almost smashing into an old, faded photograph hanging on the wall, of a woman standing next to a Shirshu. He pulls the man up and yells for both him and the red-faced woman who threw him to take it outside. Around the tavern a few fistfights continue, egged on by small circles of spectators, and a few benders nearly forget the tavern's policy before taking their quarrels out back.

In every corner and against nearly every wall someone skulks. At every table people speak over pai-sho boards and various games of chance, confident not to be overheard in all the noise. The bartender quickly ducks into the backroom to have a word with his boss.

Lu is at his table drinking some tea calmly. He occasionally looks around to make sure no one is going to interrupt him.

Mar adjusts his pai-sho pieces as he waits for his opponent to make a move. The man across the table makes a bold, but poor move, and Mar takes the game. He gathers up the small winnings and heads to the bar for another drink.

Lei Tao walks into the bar with his back strapped tightly, he has just finished a long journey and is in need of a drink.
He walks up to the bar and sits on an open seat waiting for the bartender to return.

They don't even look down. They just have their stone-cold eyes moving about, watching for danger.

As he arrives at the bar Mar looks around questioningly, "Did the barkeep slip into the back? That's never a good sign."

Pay sitting at a table by himself looks at all the fights going on.

"I better leave before I have to get involved...god I wish I had purpose again."

He drowns his last beer before heading out.

Zen sits at a table alone, sipping a strong tea and gin mixture. An unwilling smile betrays the memory of His lover, but the alcohol numbs his pain.

Lei Tao notices the man leaving, and seeing as he has nothing better to do, he approaches him,"Whats got you down sir?"

Gan peeks his head through the door before walking in nonchalantly. He's a bit too young to be here, but who's gonna stop him?

A bald man watches the young person walk in before speaking.
"Hello there, why don't you sit here?"
The man doesn't sound like he's going to do anything bad. He just gestures to the seat across from him. There's a slight smile to his face that says he knows somethings up though.

"Uh... okay."

Gan sits down across from him, but stays ready to run if trouble comes.

((Hey Hugo, two questions. One, how many benders do we have and two, can I invent alcohol-bending?))

(11 benders, 3 non-benders, though some of the benders have no skill. Alcoholic drinks can be bent, because they contain water. You can't bend pure alcohol, though)

Turo arrives. He is weary after a long journey he made, and seeks for a place to sit down and rest first. Given he doesn't know much about people around him, he wants to find an empty table, so he takes the one from which young man of somewhat 20 years [Cryxis] just left. He takes an apple he picked up on the way from the backpack and takes a bite.
