Woo! Metamancer is alive! And I missed a bunch of posts.

Well to start things off, I'm updated my map with landmarks and potential undiscovered areas. The pinkish dot is where "LOOKING FOR TROUBLE" pointed us, for those that don't remember.

On an interesting note, I've noticed that the colors on the ground map match the colors on our map (with one exception which we'll call an anomaly for being the starting point). Based on that, I've also made a map with the potential colors of the rest of the areas as well. It was a little tough because some of the colors aren't the easiest to see so I had to guess sometimes. Lighter colors are the areas we haven't visited.

Given what we know about MANCY, I'd be curious to know exactly what significance the color of an area has. We've thus far discovered that there are eight MANCITYPES, which match the colors on the map. So potentially these are areas strong in that MANCITYPE. We can also see that creatures and such appear match the MANCY of the areas they are in. Stimpers are brown (MIGHTYMANCY) and are found in the brown area. The blue guy (TRANSYMANCER) is found in the blue area. LARINOIDS (PRISMANCY) are found in the purple area. Theoretically we can therefore conclude that the people playing cards in front of us are ANTITHEMANCERS or related to ANTITHEMANCY in some way.

Also of interest is that there is a single area related to METAMANCY and the end of a passage with most of the other MANCITYPES present. The area basically screams "important" and we should totally check it out at some point.

In terms of those we're traveling with though, on a meta note Stanstan's name is "Stan-stan" and he is a "MANCY-MANCER". The repetition might be a thing with that MANCITYPE. The Rainbow-colored METAMANCER also only had one METAMANCY symbol when casting his MANCY at the TRANSYMANCER, interestingly, meaning that he is potentially only ESOTERIC ECHELON 7 and NOT an ARCHMANCER since we only displayed one when casting our MANCY.

For now though, I think we should ask Gilly and Stanstan if they are part of the COUNCIL OF EIGHT, as they seem to match the various teasers we've seen. Also we should give Stanstan the GNARLY CHITIN we have, as it's a MANCI MANCITYPE. And we should LARINIZE or MULTILARINIZE CHARM THE SOCKS and use it on the ANTITHEMANCERS.

I notice that there is only one metamancer area. What do we even know about metamancy?

Durithill, that map is boss!

I had forgotten about looking for trouble
Let's larinize that (putting on whichever hat, and larinizing remancitype, etc etc) and see if these antithemancers are the local trouble.

Hmm! Also, if antithemancers like blood... And these seem to... The dark cave is antithemancy-black on the map, and there was that grinning door with drain holes in the mouth...maybe we need to bleed a little to get through?

Hey Stanstan

Hey

Where's that CURLY STICK you had?

You mean the ARCANTERLY CATALYGER?
It's right here in my INVENTORY

Well, keep it handy.

These guys look like trouble

Right

Okay, my turn.
So... do you have any, uh...

RED ones.

Hmm, let's see...

This game is dumb

Oh, look out. Somebody's here

I mean hi

Oh yeah, hi!

Uh... hi.
Your... TABLE is nice.

Yeah!
It's really good for finding MANCERS!

Yeah!
When they touch it,
the MYTHICAL RUNES on it light up!

Yeah!
And then we sacrifice them.

Yeah, and throw their bodies in the magma.

Yeah.

Wow

Guess we won't be wearing the table as a hat then.

Theoretically if we backtracked to where Stanstan and Gilly found us, then head up-right then left, we might be able to meet back up with DAS and Walder.

Why do you sacrifice MANCERS?
That sounds mean!

Yeah, I guess it does. Unless you know, like,
ANYTHING about MANCERS.

Yeah. MANCERS are in constant pain.
The MANCY that fills their bodies is
VOLATILE and ABERRANT.

Oh. I... didn't know that.

Yeah! So we figure we're helping them.
By letting the bad stuff out.

Yeah

They do end up dead, though

Yeah

Wow

What happens when you sacrifice MANCERS?
Do they, like, explode or something

Yeah, actually, they do!

The MANCY inside them is sort of a colorful fluid,
and it all comes out when they die.

Huh

It makes a mess. Check out these
STAINS all over our TABLE.

Yeah. But then Larin accepts our OFFERING.
She wants all MANCERS to be released.

Yeah. It's our purpose.

Yeah

Sheesh

...Just out of curiosity, who told you that MANCIES are volatile and aberrant?
And who's Larin?
