I understand completely, Thank you mastacheese, You truly are the master of the cheeses.

I have to disagree. But I live in Wisconsin, so I would :D
The canadian wizard disagrees as well, but we can't do anything about it since we're too busy dealing with ice
You should have made your house unit something that can cross oceans on Ice floes.
Be truly Canadian. As everyone knows that Canadians don't use cars, they just float around on Ice floes to get everywhere.
How much does insurance for an Ice Floe cost, anyway?

I'm too close to the American border, so we have to keep a low profile here. If the American border patrol caught us riding our polar bears too close, they'll shoot our bears and call it a war crime. Its also mostly land where I am, so ice is more of a problem with it sticking to everything... Like sealing doors shut

I'm not going to be bothering with tons of flavor, due to the absurd number of players. I apologize in advance to those of you who were hoping for such.
Do it the ol' roguelike way, conciseness in brevity! :D

What's a House Unit?
Your Unique Unit, basically.
If you want to suggest what yours should be, just say it in a spoiler.

Query4Cheese:
Can house units be of any kind of type? (ie ...Err, 'kind' was the wrong word. I mean, how many categories can a 'specialization' cover? Should they be of only one primary war unit category {sea/land} or, can they also be economic units but, obviously, with weaker stats as the nobles/same stats as the soldiers? {1 house unit of {x} type boosts economy = +1 gold per unit in the owned tile; said tile must be owned by {house unit player})

I'm curious due to the many ideas of what could be a 'house' unit, considering all fields of literature in my book(s) :o
...Hopefully you only mean war units ._.

I think he means only war units.   They're meant to be like your house guard.

Alright.

House Units are:
> Only war units.

Can they be any kind of imaginative war unit? Or, should they be modeled along /anything in history/?
Also, may they me of various categories (ie Swordsman/axeman?), like 'soldier has mastered different arts' and such?

Do weapon categories specifically matter, or should it be 'generalized' (ie Axe/sword/spear = melee; bow/crossbow/sling = ranged) for better GM sanity? [Though of course, flavor does make it nicer]

You can be as specific or generic as you want. It should be something that actually exists (or could theoretically exist).
If you want your House Unit to be a Kangaroo Rider (Even though I'm fairly positive nobody's actually done this) then you can have that.
If you want your unit to have bonuses against other certain types of units, you can have that. If you want it to be able to ignore certain rules (my example of a land unit that can cross water, for instance) you can have that. I'll do my best to balance out everyone's units.
But yes, it needs to be military.

* Tiruin shivers with the knowledge of history and all associated ideas.

Oh the fun ._.
But the balance. Still is fun. :D It's like playing Sid Meier's Civilization games.

* Mastahcheese realizes that he's been working on this turn for nearly 5 hours now, and still hasn't even compiled the data for the turn, let alone actually put it into spoilers for the turn itself.

I think I am going to take a break to eat something. Or maybe look at the forums, I dunno.

It's like playing Sid Meier's Civilization games.
Only you don't have to wait a week for each turn, because Sid Meier himself has to roll for each NPC faction, and keep tabs on your tax rates and everything else. :P
