As long as you keep a way to keep up with it, there is no need, but, the same issues you would find with this, you will have with making another. By that I mean issues with keeping up with the thread. With that said, I dont recommend doing so. Also, I m wondering if i would still be waitlisted.

Something I'm curious about. Are the locations of scouts known to everyone? Or only the locations of heat sources?

everybody knows where all the scouts are. The battleship is one of the heat signals, but nobody knows which ones. (both battleships will be revealed once a player fins one) Trying to kill all the enemy scouts is a viable strategy, because killing all the enemy scouts gives your team a victory too. And, they are worth 30 points each kill.
