Conspiracy theorists successfully infiltrated Hydronus. They claim it is a smoldering wasteland. Numerous sightings and pictures of strange humanoid creatures. Hoax?

Conspiracy proven. Multiple videos, photos and actual orders from the Galactic President himself for the extermination of palnet Hydronus. Everything is a lie. We've been lied to. Billions murdered by Galactic Navy.

Will the disease spread to other planets? Dr. Felix Strauss says yes. Many Navy soldiers are reported to have contracted the disease and brought it with them to their home planets.


1st January, 4016

"It all started on 1st October, 2015. The first of the infected was reported in the hospital, a soldier who returned home from duty. It spread like wildfire. We didn't think it would ever reach Remus. We were light years away from Hydronus, yet the disease has spread here. The fires have started. The looting has started. The change has started. People were eating people. Giant monsters formed from the corpses of the diseased were spotted smashing buildings. My camera crew is dead. My boss is staring at me with cloudy eyes. I can't take this anymore." The woman on the news pulls out a gun. "Happy New Year."

The recording ends. That's all that's been playing on TV for a week. The disease is rampant across the planet. You and a handful of people are huddled together in a store watching a small TV, hoping for some good news. The plan was to reach the spaceport and leave the planet, but the bridge is broken. You'll have to find another way to the spaceport now.

The leading scientists have categorized them into four tiers.

T1 is the major type of zombie, the one you'll most likely turn in to. Feral, wild, and ravenous.

T2 is the next type. They show higher signs of intelligence. They have the ability to use simple weaponry such as clubs and knives and have shown basic problem solving skills. They are distinguishable by their walk, which is less of a gait and more coordinated.

T3 is the rarest. They have shown intelligence higher than that of any zombie. They act as beacons for lower tiered zombies, whereas T1s and T2s will wander aimlessly for prey, T3s rally zombies and lead them to high density areas of human life. They have been rumored to speak. They are distinguishable because of their walk, which is completely unchanged from a humans. They can run and use weapons, such as guns.

T4 is every zombie that doesn't fall into the other categories. Also known as abnormals or weirdos. The giant corpse monsters from the initial attack fall into this category.

You will need food and clean water to survive. You will also have morale; it is increased and maintained by having a positive attitude and doing things that keep you calm and sane. It is decreased by witnessing death, feeling lost and despairing, or by going on without food for a long period of time.

Basic d6 rolls will be used for everything requiring a roll. The goal (for now) is to find a way to the spaceport.

Taking 5 players. Not first come, first serve so take your time making your character. This will focus on RP and some combat and strategy.

This isn't going to be super lethal. I wanted this to be more roleplay oriented so if there is a death, it will be to progress and add to the story. Controlling a T3 zombie would be interesting. A recurring enemy to the party, so to speak. I can PM you details if you're interested.

Appearance:He has short, Dark hair. His dark skin matches his deep brown eyes. He is of above average height, being slightly taller than most. He is thin and lacks muscle mass.
Background: His father and mother being rich aristocrats, Alex was capable of doing any job he could choose. Being a shelter child, he never had experiences in life-threatening situations. As a child, the most dangerous thing to happen to him was a ride from one planet to another. He went to a prestigious college, and was able to earn his doctorate. He ended up working on Remus as a geneticist, giving people the pets and children they always wanted. He regretted the decision when he ended up stuck on a planet full of monsters.

Occupation: Employed as a factory worker, managing the many machines that create all the items, ranging from toys to firearms.
Appearance: 6'1", green eyes, light brown hair. Very round cheeks, very pale skin.
Background: Born to a wealthy family, Nikolai never had to worry about anything. There was always enough to get by on, even despite the family's declining economic status. However, Nikolai's father eventually managed to gamble away every last penny, leaving the family destitute. Nikolai signed up to work at the age of nineteen, and hasn't stopped since. His parents have since died, but Nikolai married and had a child - he doesn't like to speak of them. Very willing to do what needs to be done.

Appearance: Average hight for a male, with dark brown skin. Unlike most people of his skin tone, his hair is straight, and his eyes so brown they are nearly black, though he wears contacts to make them a more even shade of greenish brown.
He wears a jacket that is, though not thick, is very plain, with a zipper down the middle, fully open. The shirt below is blood red with a "Beat the Streets" logo on it. His pants have the traditional four pockets in the normal place, but there are two others linning a pants leg each. His face is settled in a bored, neutral look, but, his eyebrows make him seem far more serious.
Background: Average kid that went through basic schooling like it was a breeze. Bright as hell, so everyone thought, but was far to lazy make it though the seconday classes, and, after several, very costly tries, he ended up taking the first job he could get, ending his post graduate carrier with a debt he could never hope to pay off without a job requireing a high end post graduates doctrate. He made himself comfortable with his parents, for a while, until, one day, after work, a whole bunch of crap happened. More than he can recall, or care to even remember. Many of his co-workers didnt make it out of the building. Even fewer made it as far as him. Behid his seamingly cold eyes is regret and sorrow, obviously seen by one who has had to deal with, not only the admittance of a heavy loss, but finding out, for a brief second, that it wasn't true, but only for those few seconds. And then his parents were gone. Torn apart before his eyes. And all he could do is run. Leaving his colleagues to fend for themselves against a loosing battle. . . . And now he is here.

Background:A gruff, average sized yet muscled man from who was known to be heavily in involved in a rebel group known as "Pravda". Very good at Hand to Hand combat and Field Medicine.

Occupation: Unemployed, but does a lot of urban exploration; good at climbing, tends to be good with unknown terrain, and is decent when it comes to parkour.

Appearance: Tall, wiry, with no facial hair. Medium-length black hair, and tends to prefer looser clothing. Green/blue heterochromatic eyes, with about 2/3 of each eye being green, with a small sliver being blue.
Background: A recent college graduate, he majored in liberal arts. He's always been a bit of a slacker, and tends to dislike most authority figures. This, combined with an innate curiosity, lead to him discovering urban exploration. He initially explored storm drains and the like, though has since branched out into derelict buildings. To this day, however, he still feels more at home underground.

She dreams sometimes, of doing something more with her life, but for now, she's stuck in her dead-end job.

Occupation: Jazz singer, plays the piano and trombones.
Appearance: Wears a blue tuxedo with a pair of old sunglasses. Dark skinned, his hair is cut short and he has a tendecy for wide smiles.
Background: When Jones was a small kid, he was amazed by the music from the old times, the smooth sounds of truly groovy tunes, going by the name of Jazz. After a sickness that ravaged his eyes, he learned to play the piano and trombones, following the ways of the old figures of music. He proved to be an outstanding musician and the money he raised from the concerts proved to be enough to pay for a pair of replacement eyeballs. As he tunred older, his popularity grew, but his health worsened, forcing him to consider an end to his career. Unfortunately, the Cataclysm proved to be more important than his next gig, but even now, Jones remembers that he must bring back Jazz to the destroyed world.
