... y'all had a ban on bilingual teaching in cali? Like, are we talking no teaching of foreign languages or no teaching in not!english?

Seems to have been more of a misguided attempt to help kids learn english rather than banning the teaching of foriegn languages or anything like that https://ballotpedia.org/California_Proposition_227,_the_%22English_in_Public_Schools%22_Initiative_%281998%29

I like this one from Washington state: https://ballotpedia.org/Washington_Restoring_the_Voice_of_We_the_People_Initiative_%282016%29 Although it's a VERY long road to become an amendment.

Nothing good can ever come from politicians getting involved in teaching. NOTHING. If you're a teacher, and you see a politician walking to your school, burn the place down. It's better in the long run.

That was MONTHS ago. Something about a corrupt Mexico City mayor, pacts with the mob (the cartels), and protesting students.

NYTimes is reporting that Mexico is being accused of blocking the international inquiry.

I wouldn't want politicians going near ballot boxes

So, Ted Cruz and John Kasich have finally decided on the divide and conquer path (or maybe tag team) method of cooperation to defeat Trump.

Too bad I can't meddle in the Republican voting here in California. And no, I'm not going to change my party designation (which is none).

What fresh hell is this?

Seriously, what manner of spiteful tantrum are the puppeteers at the RNC throwing that leads to something like this? It is, to my knowledge, absolutely unprecedented. The only thing that reeks more than the spite is the desperation.

Well the exact situation is unprecedented but candidate coordination between rivals is certainly not unprecedented.

From what I've heard the man has people threatening to vote dem just to keep him from winning. It wouldn't be a huge surprise to me if his party turned against him to prevent that.

Yes, one of the Kochs issued a statement saying he was considering supporting Clinton.  I'm sure this will surprise many Sanders supporters who thought he already was.
