I never expected Sanders to win North Carolina. Though he did perform slightly better than his poll numbers (40.5% when he was polling in the high 30's).

So according to google's results, Trump has 619 delegates so far, and needs 1237 to qualify for the nomination.

So he's pretty much halfway there now. 619*2=1238.
