Clinton as buddying up with The Dark Side

She misnamed the pet cause of a political c-lister 30 years ago.

No links because I've only seen it on leftist versions of Alex Jones (Like Mother Jones or worse) but apparently Clinton made kind of as silly gaffe? "Where was Sanders when I was trying to pass healthcare [in early 1990s]?" with a response of "Literally right behind you," with pictures/video of a speech Clinton made about it, with Sanders standing behind her.

Wait, "buddying up with The Dark Side"?
Calling it now, Clinton joins the Repub primary partway through, then it's Bernie Sandarts vs. the World.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I don't really see how it's Trump's fault that people crashed and ruined his event, then harassed the legitimate attendees and fought with police officers as they were leaving when it was cancelled. It sounds very much like people just don't like Trump, and are willing to overlook what was honestly a pretty shameful display because at the end of the day, it got his event cancelled.
I think the general mentality is that he escalated it, so they're gonna escalate further.

Quote from: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
There may be somebody with tomatoes in the audience. So if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell—  I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise. It won’t be so much ’cause the courts agree with us too.
(Source) He advocated using violence to shut down protests at his rallies, so more people protested. I don't think there's anything wrong with showing up at a political event and shouting down the candidate. Violence is something else, and I don't support the use of it to prove a political point (obviously). But if the protesters were defending themselves, that's a different matter.

Quote from: St. Louis, MO
Part of the problem, and part of the reason it takes so long (to remove protesters), is nobody wants to hurt each other anymore.
(Source (7:33))

He fosters an attitude of violence in his supporters, promotes them committing violent acts on protesters, and then acts surprised when the two clash. I absolutely think he can be blamed for that. There are plenty of ways to calm a situation like this, and he just escalates things. He's getting what's coming to him, to be perfectly honest, and I just expect there to be more and more protesting, and violence, at his events. It is absolutely his fault for creating that type of community. It sucks for those caught in the middle of it, and I don't think either side should be violent with eachother, but he is the one promoting violence and escalating the issue of protests.

Heh.  I agree with mainiac about the Reagan-aids "thing", but this is actually a nice shot.  Shouldn't accuse someone of not helping when they were actually standing with you.

I think the reaction would've been much different if it had been Trumpers at a Sanders rally, all other things being equal.

Ugh, I come back a few hours after saying it was nuts that people are finding a way to call trumpers brownshirts after the rally, then I see people calling for a Lion Guard to protect Trump.

I dunno man.  This election is nuts, but at least nobody's called the other candidate a hermaphrodite yet.

The AIDS thing was a pretty big deal.

Sure, yeah, we've all heard of AIDS.  Hillary Clinton didn't forget AIDS and the government dragging it's feet on research.  She forgot what disease Nancy Reagan talked about 30 years ago.

He fosters an attitude of violence in his supporters,

Pretty strong statement there.  And one that would be very easy to twist into a very subjective standard.

No, actually your link checks out.

All hail Obama, the Eternal President.

This is would a much more boring dystopia than people make it out to be. Obama has been one of the least effective presidents in US history. He tried soooo hard to implement a new Assault-Weapon-Ban but now more Americans are armed with MORE amazingly lethal firearms than any point in history.

Clinton would be just like Bush and Obama, combined. An ineffectual warmongering neocon with passing sympathies or talking points to feminism and welfare for the working class, but never too much that it inconveniences the elites and banking corporations that fund her.

Vote Trump or Sanders if you want change. Vote Clinton if you want another or 8 years of stagnation and another low-intensity conflict overseas. Vote anyone else if you want to protest vote.

Voting Trump or Sanders would make Congress stop being a check on Presidential authority?  Presidents get to overrule congress if they aren't traditional candidates?

Obama spent the first two years of his presidency dealing with a once every three generations economic crisis and the next six years dealing with a hostile congress that vetos everything he says, what exactly do you expect?

This is actually the best pitch to make for Clinton, IMHO.  Because of gerrymandering there is little chance of democrats taking back congress.  Clinton went into this ready for a long, ugly fight with a republican congress.

... also Obama's actually been fairly effective as presidents go, so far as I've been able to tell. He's just been kinda' terrible at/uninterested in bringing attention to a lot of it. Dude's been getting shit done most of his terms, though, and some of it (even beyond the ACA) is stuff that would have dominated the entire discussion of other presidents.

The narrative's definitely been that's he's been ineffectual/hamstrung by congress/whatever, but... it's only somewhat representative of what's actually happened.

I'm telling ya, check out the history of the Sturmabteilung.

Apparently, instead of brownshirts, these will be #RedCaps.
EDIT: Which is fitting, considering that in folklore, the redcap was a malevolent goblin.
