Funny you're using George Orwell of 'Orwellian' as a source on that.

It's not ironic in the least.  George Orwell wrote extensively on the use of labels to shut out unpopular views.  Although Godwins law wasn't articulated until long after his death I think he would have been a full hearted supporter of the sentiment.

If you have never read his non-fiction, I really recommend it.  The man had a fantastic gift for cutting through the bullshit and explaining what people actually talked about.

Nnnooo, bernie kinda' is both irrational (on a few subjects) and demagogic (very much so, the guy's an outright populist). Shithead, at least, not so much, but neither is clinton by any reasonable definition of the term. They both manage to mostly be inoffensive insofar as that goes, and they've both got massive jackasses on their side of the grassroots, so... yeah.
