Also good gods is that title stupid, at least insofar as the address goes. The FBI literally can't indict anyone. It's not one of their powers. All they can do is collect evidence and recommend a course of action to the judiciary, or something along those lines.

If the judicary is going to indict, they should hurry up with it (though not so quickly as to look totally political).

Edit: I wonder what would happen if Hillary became the nominee in the convention and then got indicted? We'd be in pretty much uncharted territory there and if she got convicted and had to drop in the general, then we'd be in REALLY uncharted territory.

Of course they would. Indictments of inanimate objects has become a US criminal code mainstay. It's a very lucrative, and incontestable form of asset seizure. If they felt they could get a bite of that ham sandwich, you had better believe they would indict it.

Petraeus (funny how that sounds close to 'betray us') wasn't running for president. While an indictment won't scare off the core supporters, the fact that republicans will make mincemeat of it and the whole indictment proccess will take it's toll.
