He doesn't.  But he does conduct himself in a manner that's generally abrasive, in ways that I've tried to explain to him in the past.  And I think he's self-aware about it now to point where he kind of runs with the character in a semi-ironic fashion...

Well, no, he kinda' does. M's single biggest communication problem on this forum is that he's regularly turned to personal attacks, often fairly quickly -- there was an example of that just upthread a little, where about all it would have taken to avoid it was put "your argument" after RK's name, or just left out the opening statement entirely. Is generally pretty tame as that sort of thing goes (which is likely why he's still here), but it's probably the (apparently, anyway) kneejerk habit that's going to get 'im banned, if anything does. Which'd be unfortunate

Buzz is that Chris Christie is going to fold.

He's cancelled an event in SC, and apparently he wasn't going to qualify for the next debate.

Christie is the only politician I've experienced an intense personal loathing towards in recent memory, so it actually makes me very happy to see him drop out (even though I didn't think he could get the nomination). Is it weird that he bothers me a lot more than Trump?

Nah. Trump at least has a sense of humor. A malicious sense of humor, but at least he has one.

Christie is just a white-hot butterball of anger and resentment.

That's not the impression I got at all...  I think of Mainiac as the guy that brings out realistic economics to counter naive idealism sometimes.  Yet, encouragingly, has hope for the future.

I'm worried that he's seen as "abrasive", and as making personal attacks, because he's willing to support Hillary in a thread full of Sanders supporters.

@RedKing: I don't see Carson dropping out before SC, especially not after feeling cheated by Cruz's campaigns dirty tricks. Honestly though, while Cruz's campaign is at fault for doing what they did, Carsons campaign is the one who was ambiguous in the first place.

We'll have to wait for new SC polls to see what the possible results might be, but as we saw with the aftermath of the debate, opinions can change fast.

I agree on Carson. Though I'm wondering if he might fall out early if polls over the next ten days don't show him with a top-3 finish in SC. Right now, the public poll data is very old for both SC and Nevada. I have no idea what the campaigns' internal polls are telling them.
