Just remarking :P

Anyway, Jeb better look behind him because Rubio is slowly creeping up.... from behind. Nvm, that bump for Rubio disappeared.

I do hope you see the irony in a democratic party (especially one *named* the Democratic Party) essentially being un-democratic by bending all the party machinery to put forward a single candidate before any votes took place.

Different story if it was an incumbent or a sitting Vice-President, given the tradition of treating a sitting VP as an incumbent candidate. Hill's not even a sitting member of the government at this point.

EDIT: Christie announces he's going home to NJ to "make decisions about how to proceed forward". I say he drops tomorrow.

EDIT #2: Wow...Huffington Post kinda lost their shit about Trump winning.

From the twitter sidebar of 538: "Christie just basically announced he's suspending his campaign." Nothing official yet.

EDIT #2: Wow...Huffington Post kinda lost their shit about Trump winning.

I hate Trump, I hate everything he is, and I'm going to vote Sanders as far as he'll go, but I don't think we could find a more fitting president for this country than Trump.

It's amazing and it's hilarious, and I can't stop watching I want to see more of it and I want to see how far it will actually go. Part of me is rooting for the guy.

Yeah, I agree with the sentiment of the piece, but damn HuffPo....way to alienate folks you're gonna need in about nine months. They gonna run a line like that for every state Trump wins? Cause it might be more than a few, especially if the anti-Trump vote stays fragmented for another month or two.

Yes, I'm aware of the irony. It was also partially the fact that the smarter and wiser potential candidates chose to sit this one out than risk being crushed by the Clinton juggernaut. Not that Sanders is stupid or foolish.

It was the perfect year for him to run against her.

True. Against a mainstream establishment candidate with less negatives, he'd probably have little hope. People's general antipathy and distrust of Clinton is no small contributor to Sanders' success to this point.

Vermin Supreme has now not only beaten Jim Gilmore, but Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum (who are also beating Gilmore).

Also an incredibly narrow field. At this point he is the only other choice on that side. throw in even just one or two other notable candidates and someone like Sanders could have easily just fallen down into single digit land and gotten discouraged as the bigger more mainstream names fought it out. Everyone remembers how big of a call there was for VP Rides-The-Train to join in the race, I think he even got a few pledged delegates without ever officially running. Clinton Vs. Him would have drowned out Bernie completely.

EDIT:
In other news: Carson open to being Trump's VP? I have a feeling their platform would read something like a cards against humanity session.

I could see it, and at this point looking like Carson's best shot at the presidency is to slip in under Trump and wait for the extremely unlikely sounding angry mob of progressive liberals allied with establishment Republicans.
Moved to new post.

True on that, and I'd have voted for Biden as well. The death of his son aside, he just ended up waiting too long to make a decision. It would have been a truly competitive race (policy similarities aside) if he had joined in the running.
