Sanders is either Jewish, Humanist, Atheist (of whatever flavour, let's not get into that), Deist, or "Non-religious," that last of which he seems to be pointing towards with his interviews and discussions.

All of which poll pretty similarly in America, to a greater or lesser extent. Or which do you think would be better, Jewish or Humanist? Which between Deist, if you could even get people to grasp what that means both literally and in the American historical context, or "Non-religious"? Between a Jew and an Atheist, who has a better chance?

And from left field, what if he's Muslim? :P

At any rate, his religion in a general election amongst a great majority of Americans would be "Not mine." And for the vast majority of whom that actually matters, they're probably not going to vote for the Socialist SJW anyway, are they? :P
The founding fathers were largely deists, and I think he could actually play that angle.  I hope.

I'd love to believe that "not mine" is an oversimplification, but actually it's more like this...
There are fuckers on both sides who will vote for their party.  No matter what.
It comes down to the swing voters.  The people who actually give a shit, and have open minds.
Among those, I don't think "deist" is a non-starter.  His spirituality speeches have focused on inclusiveness, and I think that'll work well with the undecideds.

If he comes out and says he's atheist, that's probably a death knell.  But as long as he insists "There is something greater that brings us together", I think he's fine.

He could just say he's a "Unitarian Universalist."

I just noticed that the Politico caucus results has Gilmore on there (as if he's going to get anything) while CNN doesn't.

Looking at the FB sidebar on 538, the Clinton supporters seem to be out in full force shit-talking Sanders. Especially the female Clintonistas.

In appoximately 1 hour and 20 minutes -- I predict that the cult leader Bernard Sanders and his cult members "bernbots" will be in complete hysteria and blaming everything and everyone from the President to the man on the moon that Bernard Sanders didn't prevail in Iowa. They will spam and bombard everyone online and then -- We will breathe a sigh of relief and just brush them off and move forward. #WickedSmart #ImStillStanding #IowaCaucus2016 #ImWithHer #HillYes #Hillary2016 #HillaryForAmerica #NObernie #FiveThrityEight

Interesting tidbit here:

Here’s an absolutely nutso stat from the early entrance poll: 17-to-29-year-olds on the Democratic side are going 91 percent to 8 percent for Sanders over Clinton. They make up only 15 percent of the electorate, however.
Will college kids cost Clinton another election? If so, I can totally see her pulling a Scooby-Doo in private..."I would have gotten away with it, if it weren't for those meddling kids!"

@Shadowlord
Yeah, based on my brother who actually went to UU meetings, that sounds about right.
All the faiths are reflections of the greater whole wheeee

Personally I think it's mostly misguided.  By taking bits of every popular creed, it ignores  the truth.
But I'll still take such a holistic approach over ANY exclusionary approach.  IE, the vast majority of candidates (who safely espouse a certain specific creed).

So is #HillNo. More telling was a further comment (after the inevitable spate of comments calling out the original poster) saying all the complainers are "BernieBros". SJW much?
I can think of an obvious counterpoint term for female Clinton supporters, but it uses rather coarse language so let's not go there.

So, yeah, Carson actually is going back home to Florida regardless of how he does in the caucases. Sounds an awful lot like giving up, plus also looks like he can't take the heat anymore.

Also, I have a feeling that this is going to be a LONG night, reports of overflow crowds and long lines at some places. They need bigger sites,

Guys, can we get more meta?  Let's find out!

Mainiac's rankings of the GOP rankings:

1) MetalSlimeHunt:
The good: That Trump prediction looks smart now
The bad: Carson has plummeted but he ranked him as a late game contender

2) Wolock
The good: Got the first two right and has the three frontrunners as the three last
The bad: Christie is in 6th place in New Hampshire

3) Mainiac
The good: Same as the guy above with the nearly identical list
The bad: Kaisich might last past new hampshire but he is expected to be one of the fastest dropouts
The ugly: Sanatorum might very well drop out tomorrow

4) Redking:
The good: One of two people to anticipate Trumps staying power
The bad: Lindsey Graham

5) smjjames
The good: if huckabee and santorum drop out tomorrow, his early rankings wont hurt his score much
The bad: missed the first two and might suffer on the Christie and Rubio rankings

6) Strife:
The bad: Missed the first two dropouts and the scoring system judges by the day
The good: Well if something unexpected happens he will benefit from going against the crowd.
