But even Marx's elect residing in this worker's paradise will be forced to reap as they've sown, as the armies of the Islamic Ilkhanate spill over the unsecured Mexican border, filling the hearts of the unfaithful with regret and lamentation at how they have forsaken their true savoir, ignoring his message and condemning him to a comfortable retirement of continued minor celebrity in Malibu.

However through an ironic twist once Sanders wins the war he will become CEO of JP Morgan.  He will immediately revoke all the board memberships of JP Morgan and assign them to 18 year old socialists with no personal histories but random personality traits.  Bernie and the socialists will then proceed to run JP Morgan exactly the same way as before.  Bernie will die 2 years later of plague whereupon his granddaughter Sunnee Sanders becomes the youngest CEO the ever rule a major investment bank at the age of 14.  Between the time she is 14 and 16, the rule of JP Morgan will completely devolve so that the various branch offices are completely independent.

No, but this is.

-----------------------------------------------------

edit:
This appears to be an explanation of the data breach from someone know knows what they are talking about: http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal-a/2015_12/an_explanation_of_what_bernie059035.php

And this incident is a pretty excellent example of why I regularly get tetchy at people in this thread.

Seems like Sanders is being punished for something a few ambitious young dudes were doing.
And apparently, this isn't the first time it's happened.
Fuckin Hill, she just never stops.

People just leap to the assumption that not only can Bernie do no wrong, but that Hillary or the DNC actually at fault.  The Sanders campaign kept releasing false information after they got caught.  That false information was quite likely ass covering by the guilty people but it definitely explains why the DNC did what it did.  After all, what the fuck else are they supposed to do?  People at the Sanders campaign were trying to download the data before they got cut out of the system.  Of fucking course they got locked out.  And sure the system fucked up.  But the rules said they weren't supposed to do things and they deliberately broke those rules.

It seems like Bernie put a stop to things as soon as he found out but that seems not to have happened until sometime on saturday.  People were leaping to exonerate the Sanders campaign before that point.  There was more doubt case on Clinton, who wasn't even involved then Sanders...

Y'all keep accusing me of being biased towards Clinton here but this incident showed some pretty freaking biased reactions and they weren't coming from me.  So yeah, maybe remember this next time you want to accuse me of bias?

I see nothing in that article that disproves my comment. Or hector13's comment.

As for MSH...well, fuck it...Hill never DOES stop. To her credit, she didn't try to hammer the point during the debates (from what I've heard...I had better things to do with my time that night).

What I meant was that I can't imagine Sanders would be the one ordering members of his campaign team to take advantage of software faults to snoop on his biggest competitor, yet by taking away his team's access to the database, at the end of the day he's the one that suffers.

I mean isn't that what a campaign team does? Go through data to strategize which voters and issues should be targeted by the candidate, so they (the candidate) don't have to worry about it and can get to the actual matter of campaigning?

From what I knew at the time I posted that, it was that Sanders and his team had their access halted, and it appeared to be a punishment rather than as a means to ascertain what was accessed. That would be an unfair punishment if it were the case; it's not and some dude is now looking for a new job.

However, if you want to be upset about something, the cynic in me tells me they've probably already found employment with the Clinton or O' Malley team :P

What's surprised me about it is that apparently voters don't really care about these kinds of things, and I totally overestimated how relevant it was. Dumb sex scandals are enough to get people to resign from holding office, but something like this, a major conflict between the DNC and a candidate with allegations of favoritism, a lawsuit, stolen and withheld data on the line... and it just blew over immediately, barely anyone even seems to care. It'd be a different story if the DNC didn't return access to Sanders' campaign so quickly, but I really thought this was something big.

That article does make a really good point about the DNC favoring Hillary, though. It makes no sense to release an internal issue like that publicly if they weren't looking to cause a scandal for Sanders.

Actually what campaigns mostly do is create the data.  For instance lists of who is a committed voter, who is a persuadable voter, who is a likely partisan but unlikely to vote, who has an issue they are concerned about, etc.  A campaign contacts 20 or 40 possible voters to find the one that they want to keep contacting.  It's like shifting through a gold rich ore to find the nuggets.

Sure you need data guys to shift through the data when it's all said and done but that part is easy.  The big struggle is convincing local volunteers (outsiders are well nigh useless) in the target region to go knock on doors.

However, if you want to be upset about something, the cynic in me tells me they've probably already found employment with the Clinton or O' Malley team :P

I doubt he will work in national politics for a long time.  Maybe he can rehabilitate himself by taking his lumps in congressional races for a while.  Maybe he'll never work in politics again.  It's not hard to find someone know knows GIS and SAS.

Hey, what are your opinions on this ISideWith poll? Trustworthy? I get skeptical of these "match you with a candidate" kinds of things because it seems easy to just trick people.

We've done ISideWith way too many times already. 80% of the forum is gonna get Bernie Sanders including maniac unless he remembers to fudge his answers beforehand and the other 20% will get whoever the Libertarians or Socialists have this time around. Except for whomever the three conservatives currently not banned on Bay 12 are, they'll get Trump.

Wasn't asking for results, I was asking for what the opinions of the readers of this thread were in regards to how trustworthy and not-bullshit the poll site is. Considering how I looked at all the details the poll results provide and found that it actually sites sources for what politician's policies are what, it seems a relatively believable way to at least learn more about candidate's political policy platforms. By reading the sources.

I answered my own question.

It's essentially the same problem as the Political Compass reporting just about everyone as left-libertarian and almost all of the remainder as right-libertarian. Taken in a vacuum format and asked exclusively to people who use the internet, almost everyone who isn't horrifically irrational will get that kind of result. Even most sitting politicians would get much closer to it then their policy records indicate.

This happens in large part due to the lack of situational hangups, realpolitik, and emotional drift that happens in meatspace.
