The thread is spinning through topics fairly quickly, but there was some sniping up there not too long ago time-wise that was nearly out of control.  I'd appreciate it if those involved would inhabit themselves with a spirit of calm after composing their posts and before pressing the post button, and then make changes as needed.

Anyway, while Bush sr had left business years before he became president, Bush jr. did some smaller stuff and was finished by the time he became president, though still had the oil connections.

Trump though is far more closely connected to his companies and AFAIK, he hasn't resigned as president/chairman of the stuff that he is chairman/president of. Plus I wouldn't put it past him to use his companies to do things that congress won't let him. Probably with limited effect since it's all real estate things.

In all seriousness, *IN MY OPINION* I would like a non-politician as president because they would have to ask people who are smarter than them for help. A president who pretends to know everything is never going to work. Now Trump doesn't sound like someone who would ask for advice, so my vote will go with Carson. He also fits with almost all of my ideals and he is a really nice guy.

(Last time I posted this on the internet, people called me stupid about belt buckles or something. But I assume this place is more civilized than the YouTube comment section. Here's hoping)
