All this was a distraction, sheeple! The real story of the day was that Alex Jones interviewed Donald Trump via Skype today. The global cartel obviously organized this spectacle to distract Americans from the sheer supernova of Truthiness that resulted.

(fuck....I've turned into that guy, haven't I? bodies aren't even cold yet and I'm making black humor of it)

Dying is the only thing that everyone does; all the black humor in the world won't make the bodies less cold.

Kidding aside, leaking names like that is pretty damned irresponsible. Does nobody remember what happened with the Boston Marathon manhunt?

Editwhiletyping: Turns out the 'pipe bombs' tossed out during the chase were fake.
... is it odd this strikes me as odd? Pipe bombs are ridiculously easy to make. Not sure why you'd go with fake ones when you can make real ones with a trip to walmart and the technical capabilities of an average teenager. Things aren't even particularly dangerous to construct or transport... generally pretty cheap, too. A real ghetto one that'd still work well enough to kill a few people would cost about 10-15 USD, iirc.

With 11k+ deaths from homicide by a firearm per year in the US, there's an average of 30 people killed per day. (Not to mention double that commit suicide with guns)

The mass shootings that make the news don't come anywhere close to that, so if anyone seriously wanted to tackle deaths and injuries from firearms, they'd have to find a way to address not just the most sensational and shocking ones, but the everyday ones which don't seem to get as much attention because they're so common.

Speaking of Obama, Slashdot recently aggregated a story about congress critters basically giving the "Hail Scroob!" to his carbon emissions plan.

News updates and stuff this early morning. The guys name is Sayeed Farouk (sp?) and the woman is his wife (with kids I think, hope they're okay though), both muslim, and the guy in fact did work at the the department of public health as an environment specialist.

So many unanswered questions like motive though.....

About the only motive that remotely fits is workplace violence, but the whole thing seems incredibly overprepared for workplace violence.

actually, I think I might actually know those parrish and hughes fellows. If nothing else, the names sound really familiar...

E: Yeeaaaah, looking further down in the article, I've met the parrish fellow before. Ah ha ha :-\

This should not be taken as either a threat or an attempt to incite lawless action.

? @ strife

Anyhow, turns out that the male shooter was radicalized :/ and they apparently had a bomb lab at their home. To boot, these two weren't even on the radar......

It sort of looks like they had some plans and were ready, but the guy I guess 'F this, we're doing it now', which would explain some of the odd behavior, they had a plan, but the plan didn't origionally include shooting his co-workers.

I believe in times like this the appropriate phrase is "I don't condone it. But I understand it," should it happen.
