I met a few cousins at a family reunion who own a respectable number of cattle in New South Wales. If nobody comes around and explains why your number is actually meaningless I might have to look them up again, hehe.

CNBC (because that's where the debates will be shown) just said that the budget deal just cleared the House, just has to pass the Senate and then for Obama to decide whether there is anything in there he doesn't like or not.

Aww yes. Maybe some of the crazies will fade into irrelevance if they lose the biggest only form of leverage they have.

I can only assume those spiders, snakes and various other deadly beasts drop loot. That is the only explanation that covers both how they are so rich and why anyone would willingly stay there.

Horses are more deadly than all the "deadly" animals in Australia by about a factor of 10. The last time anyone died from a spider bite was back in the 1970s. As long as you don't literally jump in a river where there are crocodiles (which is about 2000kms away from most Australians) you're pretty safe.

Aren't you scared of rattlesnakes and alligators? how can you live in America?

Anyhow, the undercard debate is set to start in 20 min or so. For those needing a link to a livestream that isn't US resident only or requires a cable subscription, I don't know of one right now.

Edit: fivethirtyeight is doing a liveblog, separately for the undercard and the main.

Aren't you scared of rattlesnakes and alligators? how can you live in America?

FYI, alligators are mainly in Florida and as for rattlesnakes, you guys are the ones with the most venomous snakes in the world, not us.

Undercard debate does not seem to have started. Right now it just seems to be some NPC commentators bickering.

It's starting now, it was a little late for whatever reason.

Also 'NPC commentators' lol!

...Did they just skip a candidate in the introductions?

Maybe you're thinking of Gilmore (I didn't catch the introductions).

It seems like Jindal is only hurting himself.

AAAND, commercial break. Almost seemed like they were in a hurry to go commercial break?

Oh come on, stop attacking clinton and Obama and focus on the actual question :P

Pataki just brought up Hillary's emails, and Graham invoked Reagan.

Graham also invoked Clinton (and maybe Kerry as well) without actually saying her/their names.

dear god that longshot of graham next to pataki. the height difference.

Yeah I noticed the height difference and was like, dang, he's a little guy.

Then again, Graham towers over everybody else anyway. Edit: PATAKI, not Graham, why am I having trouble telling the two guys apart?

Pataki seems to be stumbling all over himself here. I think.

Graham goes on a rant and gets laughed at, heh.

They all are.

EDIT: And Graham invoked 9/11 and told everyone to learn English.

I was about to ask what question he was answering, but then commercial break. Turned out to be a rant trying to cover many things and 'I'M TIRED OF LOSING!!!!!!!1!!1!!!"

"Won't let the Canadians build Keystone XL"

Trudeau just won. That thing's not getting built anymore regardless.

Oh, the Canadians scrapped their Keystone XL plan?
