What, more debate?

Did you think we'd only have that one in August?

Theres one today, with the first round (the kiddie pool, as it were) in an hour and then the main round three hours from now.

Yeah, there's going to be a good few more, I do believe. We've still got 'till february or so for the actual primary voting to start, and they don't stop until june. E: And the actual general election isn't until november. We've got over a year of this shit left.

Machiavelli is overrated.  Of course when you publish a book that says "leaders should do all the amoral things that they already do" you're going to be a hit with the upper class.
Now you're just slandering Machiavelli, he said no such thing. He said that rulers who inherit their power should do as little as possible to avoid pissing off their people and nobles, people who come to power because of someone else even more powerful should distance themself from them as soon as possible, people who come into power off of their own merits should be able to do a good job just fine as long as they care for their people and on the topic of gaining power through crime - if one is to do so, do all crime in a short span of time and never do so again. People will forget that one time you set all your opposition on fire if you create a prosperous state afterwards, they will not forget if you have to keep continuously killing more internal enemies and the spilt blood ensues in the spilling of more blood. And even with that summary I'm not doing the guy justice.
Machiavelli was actually quite a swell and moral guy. Heck, when they investigated him for tax evasion they actually found out he'd been paying more than he should have and gave him a tax refund.

Lol maniac.

The first one wasn't much, pretty sure Graham got facts wrong with size of military since whatever date. I don't think any of them pulled off the kind of moment of strength that Fiorina did.

I'm telling you all now -- if I get laid-off and I'm still jobless come November, I'm voting Trump just to take the country down with me. Plus, maybe there will be some jobs in the Trumperial Guard.

Trump truly has tapped into the average American's desire to see their country collapse sooner than later, in a fiery blaze of glory instead of a drawn out disintegration.

Also George Pataki getting applause for wanting to fire Kim Davis.  Didn't see that one coming.

Well, it is a CNN debate crowd. I imagine he'd have gotten a different reaction from at least part of the audience in a FOX debate.

Yeah, also the location being California. Graham asked earlier if there were democrats (he wasn't sure if there were I guess) and some people raised hands and he welcomed them.

They are selling this debate as an open battle as hard as they can.

I remember once upon a time, lo those many years ago, when Mike Huckabee was the likeable Republican.  The A-Team reference does not endear me.

EDIT: Why does the "We already have an apprentice President" line still get traction?  There are literally two people in the country who have more presidential experience than the current president.  That was a line that made sense seven years ago.
