This is way more humanity in an ISIS member than I'm comfortable with.

Especially since I like Attack on Titan, though I can see how a Islamist could like it too.

If we start mass-airdropping DVDs of shitty battle harem shows and cheap players into ISIS territory we'll never have to worry about them again.

always remember - they're human too

seriously, don't let empathy get in the way of knowing when some folks need to die for the good of everyone else

letting themselves forget that basically average people are still capable of the worst atrocities is one of the major ways basically average people become capable of the worst atrocities

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

The Atlantic quoting: The National Review : Would the GOP be forever changed? Matthew Continetti argues that the effect Trump’s nomination would have on its composition and philosophy would be profound. “Republican nominees since Ronald Reagan have been internationalist in outlook,” he writes. “They have been pro-free trade and pro-immigration, have supported American leadership in global institutions, and have argued for market solutions and traditional values. A Republican Party under Donald Trump would broadly reject this attitude. It would emphasize protection in all its forms—immigration restriction, trade duties, a fortress America approach to international relations, and activist government to address health care and veterans’ care. Paeans to freedom and opportunity and equality and small government would give way to admonishments to strive, to fight, to win, to profit.”

Kinda makes Trump sound not half bad when conservatives talk about him.

At this point the GOP endorsing Trump would cause more damage than their efforts to stop him

Seems counterintuitive politically, but yeah, that might actually work.

Hm, I'm reminded by the fact that in 2012, when there was a major fire happening in Texas and while then governor Rick Perry did attend a debate, he only did half of the debate so that he could deal with the emergency.

I'd want my state governor to come back home during a state emergency if they were campaigning for president.

How would Trump going around bragging about his endorsements cost him votes?

He's the anti-establishment candidate, so, endorsements by 'the establishment' might hurt him. Of course though, 'the establishment' could be at risk in their home states/districts if they do so. It's a double edged sword.
