I was wondering how Sanders would end up getting shot out of the race, but I wasn't expecting him to get Watergated out.

I will bet you money that he is not kicked out of the race over this.

Are there other cases of candidates suing the DNC (or RNC) mid-campaign and continuing to run with them? The DNC definitely won't kick him out over this (unless it escalates in some bizarre way or something more serious comes to light) but I'm not sure whether he'll be able to have any success on the democratic ticket after this, or choose to stay with them.

Poll: 30% of GOP voters support bombing the Kingdom of Agrabah

If you get asked whether you'd support bombing somewhere you've never heard of and give a definitive answer, I'd say that's some pretty poor judgement. But as others have pointed out, they're not really answering yes to that question, they're continuing to answer yes to the other questions.

Still, it's telling in that Trump supporters were much more likely to have been lead down that specific garden path to the point they'd agree to bomb anywhere just because the name sounds foreign. Democrats and other (non-Trump) Republicans were about the same, 19% and 22% respectively. And that fits with other stats such as 20% of people who answer that the sun revolves around the Earth: about 1 in 5 people are ignorant or just bullshit the answers or whatev. Then you have ~44% of Trump voters who answers "yes" to the same thing. Which is quite a big jump in that almost half of Trump supporters would agree to bomb anything.

TBH if they called me up for a survey like this I would've just hung up on them and then blocked their number.

Actually, Trump voters don't necessarily have the same information sources as other voters.

Trump’s misinformation may be “strategic,” said Jeffery Hemsley, an assistant professor in the school of information studies at Syracuse University. “Each candidate isn’t talking to the public as a whole — they are talking to their base and to those they might be able to persuade into voting for them,” he said. “So for many centrists and those on the left, Trump seems crazy. But for a segment of those on the right, Trump speaks to them. If Trump is using poor sources for his information, that isn’t really a problem for his audience. That is where they are getting their information, too.”

There's so much I want to respond to in the last few pages, but after attempting to compose a post several times, I'm just gonna have to NOPE.

Don't want to get banned over something this fucking stupid.

I cannot fucking believe you hit me with a Morrowind reference that I had to look up. That's not right. There's something morally void there.

Edit: Double-checked, not actually in Morrowind, 0% CHIM, I feel better now.

Saw this while looking whether there was anything on Jim Gilmore, http://www.bostonherald.com/news/us_politics/2015/12/random_draw_lands_gilmore_atop_mass_gop_primary_ballot heh.

I guess we'll find out who just chooses whoever is on the top of the list (or those undecideds who just go 'meh, first one on the list') in Massachusetts, which is one of the Super Tuesday states.

Also, http://www.2016presidentialdebateschedule.com/2015/12/abc-news-democratic-debate-live-stream-details/

(actually from the USAToday article linked in the URL, the bold is my own emphasis)
"“For Sanders and O’Malley it’s a gut-check moment,” said Dante Scala, a political expert at the University of New Hampshire. “Are they, in their hearts, fine with Hillary being the nominee,” or do they want to escalate attacks that could hurt her in a general election, he said.

Additionally, for O’Malley, that route “might jeopardize his future in a Clinton administration,” Scala added.

I dunno, the Obama-Clinton match in 2008 was pretty fierce (and gruelling) and I'm sure she threw plenty of stuff that could have hurt him in the general and she still became his Seceretary of State. Just saying that there is plenty of precedent to bury the hatchet after the campaigning is over.

Not sure if O'Malley is VP material though, energy seceretary maybe.

It's well known that the Clintons don't forgive and forget easily. Obama, on the other hand, tried to do that whole "team of rivals" thing.

Oh, didn't know that on the Clintons, and I was under the assumption that the 'team of rivals' thing was done somewhat often.

I'm sure there are plenty of more qualified choices for Energy secertary anyways.

That is the craziest thing I've read in this thread.

Goes in the same box as the no-fly list really....

Anyways, Democratic debate in about 15ish minutes, live feed is available here: http://abcnews.go.com/Live

Edit: The live feed is delayed by 30 seconds or something, it's a FCC thing I guess...
