Carson is optimistic about a focus on foreign policy/national security.

We shall see.... we shall see....   And the same goes for Trump, if Wolf Blitzer can get some straight answers out of him.

Really, I am hoping that he isn't given a chance to fade out when foriegn policy becomes the subject like he was able to in the last CNN debate.

Oh, imma have to pop some popcorn for this shiznit. Bet Carson has been working hard to memorize some canned foreign policy responses. Let's see how hard he tries to shoehorn them into questions that don't fit.

"Dr. Carson, how would you respond to increased aggression by China in the Sprately Islands?"
"Umm....well, you know, Hamas (NOT hummus) is a major player in the region and I think we have to work to isolate them."
"Are you suggesting that Hamas is active in the Sprately Islands?"

Yeah, the last two paragraphs in the article I linked sound rather scripted and generic.

Also, in the seven point plan which is supposed to be Carson's plan, he says 'President Obama and Congress' in point 6 http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/ben-carson-calls-declaration-war-isis/story?id=35777866  Uh, Carson, isn't the plan supposed to be YOUR plan and not a proposal to Obama?

Look, if that kind of play is how carson gets his jollies at that age, so long as it's not hurting anyone we shouldn't judge. Even if it's bleeding over to stated policy.

I'd love to see Sanders pull an Obama, but it ain't gonna happen. People aren't going to flock to the idea of "Oooh! We could be a part of electing the 44th white male President!" the way they did Obama.

He's Jewish, that's a first. Though it may actually hurt his chances with certain demographics that typically vote blue.

Meh, Jews are typically blue voters. And he's not a particularly pro-Israeli Jew to my knowledge, so I doubt that would hurt him with anti-Israel voters. If anything, Clinton is more hawkish on Israel than Sanders.

I think you mean red? Unless you mean his stance on Israel which he hasn't really given.

He's also said that he's not a religious person and doesn't talk about his religion all that much. Aside from certain red voting demographics, I don't see his religion actually being a problem.

Given the shift to foriegn policy as a topic, I wonder if there will be a question or two on Israel at the democratic debate later this weekend.

To me, there is no contest between Sanders and Clinton.

Clinton: will say anything to get elected, use buzzwords, no real change.

Sanders: will curb-stomp Wall Street lobbyists out of Washington. And do stuff with education and healthcare,... oh and let's not forget... actually tax the rich, since we've established a few years ago that Reaganomics "trickle down effect" is literally pissing on the poor.

Also of note, Sanders' campaign website has a kickstarter vibe to it. Which is a good, democratic grass-roots thing.

Does Sanders voting record actually reflect that though? Not saying you're wrong on Clinton, just saying you should check if his actions reflect what he says.

Also, apparently both the LA and NYC school district email threats have both been traced to Germany, wtf.

Hopefully whoever is behind that gets extradited to the US (if applicable) and gets smacked with the law hard to give future potential pranksters the hint not to try that kind of thing because AFAIK, this is the first time it's happened on this scale AND coming from overseas.

Probably not the first time such a hoax came from overseas, but still.

If there's anything to know about Sanders, it's his reliable track record. He's a grumpy old man, set in his ways.
