And I would love to see these decades of Hillary Clinton's history as a civil rights crusader -- starting with her volunteering for Barry Goldwater, perhaps?

At the age of 17 Clinton volunteered for Goldwater.  Five years later, Clinton had left the republican party for good and was organizing a student strike to push for more black faculty at her college.

But do you see my point? Sanders has NOTHING like that in his history, and yet black voters are throwing a lovefest for Clinton. How many black voters do you think are really aware of Clinton's college activities, either the Goldwater bit or the organizing for black faculty bit (once again, after being pro-civil rights was the "in" thing with all the cool kids)? She's getting love from the black community because of the residual goodwill towards Bill, plain and simple.

Frankly, I'd love to see some in-depth analysis of just why black voters are picking her so overwhelmingly. I've heard it argued that it's just name recognition and lack of info on Sanders, but that seems lazy...it's not like Sanders hasn't been mentioned in the media.

This is all pointless bickering anyways --- Her Royal Clintoness is going to win the nomination, and unless the GOP elects someone who *doesn't* have Mad Elephant Disease, she'll win the Presidency. She'll still be hamstrung by an oppositional Congress and nothing much will change. Wall Street will still reap their quarterly profits and offshore more jobs and we'll still be spying on the world and fighting wars via drones.

Maybe by the time my daughter can vote, there will be someone decent to vote for. And maybe I'll wish for a space unicorn while I'm at it.
