No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

I mean having lots of choices, but the Hillary Juggernaught scared off most potential candidates because she is tough to beat, especially popularity wise.

Martin O'Malley isn't quite THAT old, but yes, you've made the point.

I also want to make the distinction that Jindal is India indian, not Native American.

I wonder when, if ever, we'll have a president of Native American descent.

3 dead in the Colorado Springs incident, including a police officer. Nine others (including five police) wounded.

Shooter eventually surrendered and is in custody. Suspect appears to be a middle-aged white male. So no, I don't expect to see "terrorism" label stick on this one. As we all know, white male shooters are never terrorists, only "lone crazies". Even if he publicly rants about Obamacare and Planned Parenthood and saving the fetuses, you can expect the right-wing to disavow any connection to this whatsoever.

And NOTHING WILL FUCKING CHANGE.

I half-suspect that there's an old black-hat federal agency devoted to preventing AmerIndians from accumulating political power,

A minor correction on the Colorado Springs Incident:

The officer that died was a College Security Officer, not a Colorado Springs Police Officer.

While it's kinda a nitpick, this incident happened in my part of the state, so I'm in the mood to nitpick about it.

But yeah, almost depressing on how much spin will be going on in the next couple of days about this.

Suspect (really, why the fuck do we call him that?) Shooter identified as Robert Lewis Dear, age 59, formerly of North Carolina and with an arrest record here and in South Carolina, mostly for minor offenses.

Are we going to question him about his church and shut it down if his preacher is a radical? Are we going to have blue state governors banning immigration of white males from the South? No?
Then all y'all (and you know who you are) can kindly shut the fuck up and sit your ass back down.

EDIT: No Facebook page that can be found. Not finding much in public records either to indicate where in NC this asshat hailed from. And any signal that was out there is rapidly being lost in the noise of a zillion news sites mentioning his name.

Well, yeah, but I was talking less overt than that. You can't theorycraft crazy conspiracies about agencies that don't give two shits if everyone knows that they're screwing people over in the name of Truth, Justice, and The American WayTM

http://theweek.com/articles/590703/how-hillary-clinton-selling-poor-women

Quote
Hillary Clinton has settled on a consistent line of attack against her Democratic presidential primary opponents Bernie Sanders and Martin O'Malley. It's the exact same attack that a Republican opponent would use against them — criticizing them for wanting to raise taxes. Clinton, by contrast, promises not to raise taxes on the middle class.

That probably sounds good to a lot of voters. But the concrete (and problematic) implications of this promise became clear with a new Clinton proposal for a carer's tax credit of up to $6,000, supposedly intended to help people defray the costs of caring for the aged or sick. Basically, it would allow people to write off up to $6,000 of money spent on caring, as well as provide some increased Social Security benefits for carers. But because Clinton's proposed tax credit is not refundable, it won't help the people who need it most — the poor. (Indeed, it's actually quite similar to Marco Rubio's tax credit for wealthy families with children.)
