No, no, you should do the proper response and blame trump for not preventing the farce in its entirety. He touched it, now he's to blame. That's how it works.

Thread is pretty quiet, I take it I didn't miss much except candidates talking over the moderators?

Well, you could go take a look at the tax plans that they mentioned. Just be wary; the tax plans are weak to stern glares.

And Carsons mention of removing all goverment subsidies, whatever was up with that.

I'm about to watch the debate (I was at work when it was airing), here's hoping that my tentative support for Rubio and Bush is not crushed because they say something fucking retarded

Waitwaitwaitwait. Wait. Does Fiorina not realize that she's the least politically experienced of the candidates on stage?

And apparently, we should elect Trump because he negotiated the debate down from 3.5 to 2 hours. Alright.

Technically Ben Carson is the least politically experienced because Fiorina has tried to run for office before (California Senator) and she has done some politics stuff. Ben Carson hasn't done any of that stuff at all.

Isn't Trump the least politically experienced person?

This isn't Trump's first attempt at an election and since it is Carson's first attempt, I'd give Trump credit for having at least that much more experience than Carson.

Edit:

Know what I hate? How almost all of the news stations just act as if it's a foregone conclusion, a fact, that Hillary will be the nominee. This morning asking Rubio "What makes you think you're the best candidate to go up against Hillary?"

I'm more surprised than anything. Media stations make their election bucks off pretending there was ever a challenge in situations like this. For once, they're behaving correctly.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

+1

Romney was a longer longshot to win the general then Hillary was to win the nomination but they described that as down to the wire.

Were the candidates any better? From how they talked about the Democrats you'd think the other primary was Clinton vs Obama.

In a sense it is because Clinton and Obama despise one another.  That's why there was so much talk of Biden entering the race.  He still may, at some point.

So were the CNBC moderators as bad as the media and the candidates made them out to be? Typically when the GOP calls out the media, I figure it's because they need a sock puppet to attack for easy, media-ready sound bite.

Hill and Bill and Chill, 2016!
Who says the First Lady can't also be the VP?

In all seriousness, the only way I'd vote for Hillary is if her VP was Bernie. There's always a chance that she'll look in a mirror and turn to stone or something and we'll get President Bernie that way.
