Remember people, they still dont accept that the New Deal had anything to do with the US recovery from the Great Depression.  At most they will say that FDR stumbled upon good monetary policies by accident.

I think that they are not only fake but incredibly lazy.  If you were going to engage in high crimes and misdemeanors would you publicly accept a payment in a way that offers absolutely no deniability?  In a way that is automatically subject to scrutiny?  No, you would at least make some effort to hide that shit.  Hide it behind a sub market loan, structure it in terms of a sweetheart stock structure.  With a good enough lawyer and accountant you could even make it legal.  But apparently Clinton is a mastermind who chose to commit crime, publicly accept a quid pro quo payment and then completely disclosed her crimes.

Just off the top of my head:
Give a job to someone's cousin that pays a little better then it should.  Then come round after work and tell them "hey, it sure would be great if you were generous in this assessment of the value of a property that Hillary Clinton owns.  Dont make a paper trail or we will fire your ass."  Then you buy the property and claim that it was an arms length transaction and you give the property assessor a raise.  Then you build a new structure on the property so that the book value of it is completely different.

According to republicans, you can apparently celebrate any legal government action because it upholds the "rule of law," such as a the passing of a legal constitutional amendment making necco wafers the currency.
