Not really. They use the funds they make in making clickbait to fund the serious articles they really want to do. It takes them some time, but, you know. Just like how several modern authors fund the projects they want to write by producing erotica under pen names because it's impossible for several people who can even make it to the bestseller lists to live off of their books.

I dream of a world where pornographic writing can make it on the best-sellers list, where people aren't afraid of attaching their name to porn, and where an author can get by on writing best-sellers without resorting to things they'd rather not do :V

There's plenty of reasons to use a pen name just for stuff in different genres, explicit material or not, though. It's not exactly a bad idea to have specific sorts of material attached to a particular name, rather than many different sorts attached to a single one. S'kinda' how some game publishing/development companies run, really, and it can be fairly effective branding and whatnot. It's not like authors have to use pen-names to manage, after all. Just look at Piers Anthony, who had one major series they were known for that was (almost) entirely clean and basically everything else they wrote (of which there was quite a bit), under the same name, was inundated with smut (say it again, guy who wrote a gigantic series aimed at young adults/older teens also wrote Pornucopia. And its sequel.). Fairly sure there's no small number of similar cases out there, yeah.

The want to is more of a thing, but... well, it's not the world we live it, heh. If it isn't porn it's ghost writing for some popular series or putting out whatever's trending that month, or just doing some other sort of work. To an extent, I'd even call that kinda' okay, m'self. I don't entirely mind authors having to branch out and/or keep producing new material to keep themselves afloat, y'know? Also who's to say they actually dislike writing th'stuff :V Some probably do, and yeah, sympathy to 'em, but if there's anything that seems to be a (guilty) pleasure for prolific writers, it's writing porn.

The way he talks about "the truth" suggests to me that something has been uncovered that undermines someone's testimony, shows some negligence on the part of the executive, or puts the incident itself in a new light, which will be released in the report but hasn't been made public. Even if there isn't anything to get upset over in there it should be interesting to see the report when it's released.

I only read the headline but didn't Paul Ryan just today refer to yet another Trump statement as like "racist and disgusting." Maybe that's not quite hating on Trump but that's strong, unsupportive language for the presumptive Republican nominee.

I was mentally comparing it to this thread, wondering if we manage to needle each other with half the practice of top legislators. Anyways, if they're claiming the timing of the democrat's willingness to cooperate is questionable, I'd argue that the timing of the release of any new information "found by talking to people and looking at existing documents" is also highly suspect, given the projections that say Hilary has it locked in.
