Apparently he's been targeted before by the birther movement. Saw the link in a note on the wiki page for Marco Rubio. Edit: In the politico article, theres a lawsuit pending on Rubio on the eligibility.

Someone needs to do research into how many presidents were born of immigrant parents who were born elsewhere, but the president was born in the US..... (I guess I could look....)

If he was born on US soil then he's a natural born citizen. Trump doesn't really recognize that, though. I don't think there's any real ambiguity about it like there is with Cruz.

I'm just looking for precedent, not that I doubt there IS precedent, so far I have Andrew Jackson and James Buchanan.

Edit: Chester Arthur's father was born in Ireland, but everybody else is either the descendant of immigrant grandparents or further back.

edit2: Trumps argument against Rubio is even flimsier than it was with Obama (other than the obvious reach out to the xenophobes).

That 50 for Trump is eye-popping, first time he's had that level of support anywhere. If it holds up in the polls, the argument about Trump's floor being his ceiling may not be true anymore.
The Mass. poll has got to be worrying for the Sanders campaign -- a week ago they were +7 in Massachusetts.
