and a very close 4-5 finish with Cruz/Bush or even Bush/Cruz.

Hey, if you mash their names together, you can get Crush and Buuz.

EDIT#2: Most recent couple of polls have Kasich in 2nd in NH, with 17%. He's definitely been gaining momentum, while Rubio's post-Iowa bump ran smack into RubioBot 3000 glitching out during the debate. Not inconceivable that Kasich takes 2nd, Rubio 3rd, and a very close 4-5 finish with Cruz/Bush or even Bush/Cruz. A fifth-place finish for Cruz would throw a wet towel on anything he got coming out of Iowa. Likewise, a 4th place finish for Bush would lend him just enough credibility to stay in the race, further dividing the establishment vote. Trump will win outright, but it'll be interesting to see if he takes less than 30%.

I saw these two articles the other day: http://www.politico.com/blogs/new-hampshire-primary-2016-live-updates/2016/02/jeb-bush-super-pac-poll-218972  http://www.politico.com/story/2016/02/marco-rubio-new-hampshire-218923 While it's true that those are technically internal polls from candidate PACs that they decided to make public, it just shows how chaotic things are. We'll find out in a couple hours what the results are though.

edit: Carson is skipping his NH (non)victory party and heading to SC. Smart move to get a head start there.

Also, CBS news announced the criteria for the republican debate this saturday. Looks pretty harsh. At this point, I think all candidates who poll above 1% in national polls should be in the debates because it's only going to winnow pretty quick.

I said "a look". What does "a look" mean to you?

What, you were genuinely unaware that Bloomberg was a billionaire known for wealth and paternalism?

All I know about Bloomberg is that he's a crusader against beetus.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/new-hampshire-primary-2016-live-updates/2016/02/donald-trump-8-billion-border-wall-219008

I wonder if that includes the transportation costs of moving the 35 to 40 foot tall precasts, all of the expenses that you'd expect to be involved in such a venture, maybe even the paint....

Only to have the cartels dig under the wall, making the 8 bil a complete waste.

What's 'beetus'?

edit: Also, BTW, when the Chinese built their Great Wall, they didn't stop at natural barriers, they built along the mountains as well.

What's 'beetus'?

It's a nickname for diabetes, originally based on deriding this commercial. Bloomberg was behind NYC's infamous "large soda" ban that didn't last too long before the courts ruled that he couldn't do that.

Seems more regional, really. I guess I've technically heard the name before (beyond him thinking about joining the potus race, anyway), but he's not someone I'd call well known, down here. I seriously have no idea what he's done beyond what's been mentioned in the last page or two of this thread.

What Frumple said. Knew the dude was rich, owned a media company focused on finance, ran as a Republican and later jumped to Independent, and that he enacted some good-hearted but easily-mocked measures like banning large sodas and public smoking.

That's why we'll spend another 8 billion digging a trench under the wall and filling it with the nuclear waste that was meant for Yucca Mountain. Then it'll be easy to spot the cartel guys because they'll be glowing and dying of radiation poisoning. Foolproof.

How is this not enough information to condemn him by the standards you condemn Clinton?

And you condemn him maniac *is slightly confused here*? I know it was a response to RedKing.

For me, I don't condemn him because there isn't enough information to condemn him on, at least information that's in my head, know what I mean? He's rich? So's Bill Gates. Running as republican and then jumped to independent (and then democrat) isn't enough in my view.

The main thing is that he isn't all that well known outside of New York, except maybe in financial circles.

Well, for one, he doesn't have an army of arrogant, browbeating followers. Yet.
I also presume he's more relatable and human than Clinton. As would be anyone who isn't actually metallic. Shit, even Baymax was more human than Hillary.

Seriously, dude...back the fuck up. I said I would be willing to give him a look, not that I'm going to vote for him or start campaigning for him. I'm sure with a little time and exposure, I'll come to loath him as much as the rest of the candidates. But let me come to that on my own, not because you feel the need to jump all over me. It's not like he's going to take a vote away from Her Royal Clintoness that wasn't there to begin with.

Always nice to be appreciated.

Seriously, dude...back the fuck up.

Where am I overreaching?  Do you deny that you have repeatedly said that Clinton is too close to Wall Street to deserve the office?  Do you deny already knowing that Bloomberg is closer to Wall Street?  I am just taking those two logical propositions and banging them together.

And you condemn him maniac *is slightly confused here*?

I'm not condemning Bloomberg, I'm asking RedKing to examine the logic he has applied in the past.  I'm not a fan of Bloomberg but not for the reasons mentioned before.
