Parliamentary politics is basically everyone in the House of Lords using red vs blue mentality to do whatever they want, irregardless of whether they believe red or blue, then there's yellows and purples and the occasional green showing up to shout muggy banter. It's not too dissimilar from the American congress politics, though everyone gets to act all posh because they're Barons and Baronesses

You've pretty much got the same red vs blue only without the yellows and purples and greens shouting muggy banter
We've got yellows and purples and greens shouting muggy banter.  It's just that half of them toss on a red or blue vest over their yellow or purple or green shirt, and the other half are yellow or purple or green clear through, but simply aren't shouting loud enough unless things get really goofy *cough* Ventura *cough* Perot *cough* Walker.

Latest tracking polls in NH continue to show Rubio pulling ahead of Cruz, while The Donald's lead steadily erodes.

Dem polling is all over the place, with Sanders' lead at anywhere from +15 to +31. The result isn't in any doubt, but doubtless both sides will make hay out of the margin of victory.

Trump needs the NH primary to happen ASAP, to get him in the win column and rebuild momentum. Rubio needs the primary ASAP, to capitalize on his Iowa momentum. Cruz, ironically enough, needs NH to be a week or two away, to give Trump more time to erode and Rubio more time to lose his bump and bleed some of that support back to Bush and Kasich.

Bush and Kasich are in a virtual tie for 4th. I'm tempted to say that whoever winds up getting 5th goes home. But if that's Bush, I don't know that he will. He's kinda got a slew of millionaires behind him poking him with money sticks to keep running.

Carson, Christie and Fiorina are roadkill. Christie and Fiorina drop, Carson hangs on to SC for reasons already mentioned.

And the inscrutable Jim Gilmore abides.

Yeah, as we've seen, it's rapidly becoming a three-man race, with Bush and Carson hanging on for a while.

Also, if the last SC poll is any indication, even if Kasich manages to get fourth place in NH, he's probably still going to be DOA in SC.

Donald Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize.

Even Henry Kissinger is going, "Vot da fuck?"

"Donald "Laziness is a trait in blacks" Trump, however, is not on Harpviken's shortlist, which is currently topped by Snowden and two top U.S. and Iranian nuclear negotiators. Others who were nominated but did not receive the prize include Mahatma Gandhi, Pope Francis, Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Putin."

ok then.

I have two questions, but I only want one answered.
1) If Sanders were to win, how would he attempt to lead, given that Republicans will all but certainly still hold the House?
2) Let us pretend that you are Jeb. What to do? You want to regain the establishment support, but how to convince people that you are good at this again?

It should be noted that Hitler was nominated at one point, as has Putin. But yeah, what the heck? The only thing he has done is tonguelash ISIS, the Iran Nuclear deal, and China.

Since you don't say which one you want answered, I'll answer both.

1. No idea, he hasn't really answered the question on the trail or in debates to my knowledge. The same problem exists for Hillary, except worse.

2. Drop out? I don't know, I'm not Jeb Bush.

I suppose, setting whether you agree with "peace through strength" politics or not aside (I don't, by the bye), that still beats Obama as far as actual deeds done.

So, air support / air strikes to Syria is the equivalent of toungelashing?  (I havn't been paying too much attention.)

The US equivalent of funding rebels and liberally applying drone strikes, what would that be called?

I'm not sure how drone strikes and arming rebels qualifies you for a peace prize. Unless the Nobel committee has become infiltrated by hipster Swedes and now they're just giving the award ironically.

problem exists for Hillary, except worse.
My problem here is that this is wrong. It's roughly as bad for her as it is for Obama, maybe a little different depending. Don't begin to think that Republicans attack Clinton because they hate her more then Sanders, its because they think Sanders is an easier target then Clinton in the General Election. But Clinton, at least, isn't promising to try and save America. Sanders is as left as Republicans accuse Obama of. America will only get more divided under Sanders; it wouldn't be something he intended, but it would happen all the same.

Meanwhile reddit has like dozens of threads covering a single outlier thread showing Sanders behind by two, when the RCP average is thirteen. I, feel really bad about this, because people supporting Sanders will only get more jaded when he loses.

Obama gets attacked for not doing enough, he gets attacked for doing too much.

God it must suck being President.

Do remember that Obama won the Peace Prize in 2009.  Syria was still a stable state, and the Arab Spring not yet a gleam in a Tunisian street vendor's eye (or match).  The Afghani peace initiative would not be for another year; the drawdown not for two.  The withdrawal from Iraq, announced that very year, would not begin until 2010 as well, but that was not the reason he won it in either case.  He was nominated after less than two weeks in office, won it before his first year ended, and essentially won it due to the "improvement in international climate" in the wake of his election - that is, and I say this as a DFL voter myself, he essentially won it for not presenting himself as a second coming of Dubya.  The fact that his later deeds seem to suggest he should not have won it in retrospect doesn't play into the 2009 situation.

Also, RedKing, the Peace Prize is awarded by Norwegians. Lutefisk, not surströmming.  ^_^
