Shooting the ship has the downside of damaging what your trying to steal in a way then storming the ship and shooting the crew directly doesn't.

Is she worth it, would you burn the city to save her? For her, I'd burn the world.

We should at least have spikes welded to the front of the ship for ramming operations.Drones are also a very good idea, However I still think that at least 1 boarding hook should prove useful as a combination weapon/Anchor.

I just want to point out that, with the speeds involved in space travel, ramming would probably be a very bad idea.

Exactly, Or we could have unmanned pods designed only to ram into the enemy ship's engines.

Ah, relativistic kill vehicles. We meet again.

Also on a small ship spacing people for losing their temper is a bit excessive. This isn't DF, after all.

For as long as anyone can remember, The Dark Star (as some call it) has puzzled people. An enormous event horizon, visible as a dark circle on the starry background, yet not exhibiting nearly as much gravity as a black hole of that size should. Yet consistent with a singularity, nothing that has ventured beyond that event horizon has ever been heard from again. Some call it mad, but an expedition is being put together to go beyond the event horizon and see what lies within. This is where you come in.

Ah, I can see why they'd need a Giant Lazy Snail For A Janitor.

Well, to be fair, ramming would be ungodly damaging. It's just it would work against the rammer as well.

That's why we'll use unmanned drones.

At that point, what you've basically got is a missile.
