I tried doing the hermit today. The first time I wrote it, it only took me 2 days, so I thought it would be easy. But the problem is that most of his reactions are just recycled from dwarves, humans, etc... and these reactions dont exist in the new MDF version.

This means they would have to be written specifically for the hermit.

And a new system to kill the 6 others and the migrants, because the old one doesnt work anymore, due to dfhack changes.

If you want to help with the hermit, you have to learn modding first. Easiest would be to make a thread in the general modding section, post about what you want to do, and do it step by step.

AFAIK the first two hardcoded migrant waves are gone.
As for the starting 7: start_dwarf address is still missing from windows, so that sucks, and I'm not sure it's easy to find, I recall lethosor trying and failing to find it. So I guess that leaves you only with exterminate.

For the record, this mod works just fine on Linux as-is (and presumably on OS X as well) with the correct libraries and executables thrown in, and the launcher is just fine in wine as well. :)

Oh, I forgot, I also had to change the C Dwarf Fortress/raw/graphics/wannabehero_DDD/DDD_Creatures_18px.png to minuscule c since it is referenced thusly in the configuration, and case sensitive file systems and all that. Perhaps you could fix that, Meph? :) :D

YES! YES YES YES YESSSS!!!   :P  :P  :D  :D Awesome! Ok I'll download tomorrow hopefully but good job Meph! (Yess, been looking forward to multi level trees.  :)) Oh and Dwarf mode is mostly done right? Just wondering because before all the other modes were so daunting that's all I played.

It's mostly done, but much smaller than before. A few things, like Golems, I couldnt do because dfhack scripts are missing for 40.24.
