Yeah, I'm not surprised that a windows app won't work on your mac. :) So I wanted to recommend unrarx, but B1 is much better, let's thank Insanegame27 for that.

Maybe someone can help here, my tileset seems to be broken. I started and set it to tried and true Phoebus, yet despite what I do I get this horrible result where my embark area seems to be full of green doors, black walls, and the red clay at the ponds is full of dead goblins. It's also so busy looking that it's hard to distinguish dwarves from the ground. I can't seem to get this fixed in the launcher.

okay this is my first time using Masterwork but for some reason I cant get the packaged dfhack-run to start it just flashes on my screen. But when I use the Starter pack it loads just fine for that set. So what am I doing wrong? and just incase I wasn't clear I did not move any files from the starter pack to Masterwork or vise-versa

I think dfhack-run is only a helper for running commands or scripts, it flashes because it has nothing to do... You launch the game either with the included launcher or by starting dwarfortress.exe.

so where is the prefered launch button for masterwork I tried the dwarf fortress exe and it crshed on arrival, and I didn't see any extra stuff listed it looked vinalla

[Edit:] I found my crashing problem I had to rename a couple sdls but I would still like to know where to launch masterwork df with df-hack since the bat file doesn't seam to work for me.

I must be blind cause that exe just brings up the masterwork settings screen and I can't seem to find the launch df botton from inside that menu.

The GUI launcher, "Masterwork Dwarf Fortress.exe"

This is a Windows program.  If you don't know how / aren't able to run Windows programs on your computer, this probably isn't going to work.  Users have created Mac and Linux versions of older versions of Masterwork, which are linked in the main download thread.

I am using windows (xp to be exact) but my problem launching was/is in the launcher it self as per my last post:

my Issue is that part of the gui for me is not showing up for me graphically. but the buttons do appear to be their. it is just that everything above the various setting tabs is blacked out or the images are for some reason not working... I hope that this clears up anyconfusion based on my previous posts.
