Though last I checked, seeds from fruit-trees like pears and persimmons don't even show up in the kitchen list even though they take up bags and storage space.

the kitchen screen has tabs now at the top... maybe they are in one of the other categories up there. (cycle with pressing tab i think)

some of the underground trees could also create clouds of spores that put people to sleep or paralyze them.

Of course, the truly evil thing to add would be cordyceps-style fungal trees.  Perhaps make the shedding of spores seasonal, so that there's actually times when it's okay to cut them?  Or have an antidote available if one's prepared?

We're gonna have the three distinct caverns still right?

If so-

Cavern 1 Spores would have various minor effects(dizziness, coughing, nausea) which only lasts a day or two
Cavern 2 Crystal trees would have crystal fruit,or maybe just gems, to be sold,or processed into ammo

Cavern 3 would have the fun stuff,nether bark-put people to sleep,Shade thorn-could have the cordyceps effect,maybe add a couple others that will have different effects

So what do you do as a player?  Never open the third cavern?  Do cavern plants still spread everywhere?

the cordyceps effect could only affect the live stock then,and lower the chances of the sleep/paralyze effects should have a small chance of taking effect (30%?) along with the seasonal timing

It should be (typically below 0 degrees Celcius throughout January), but yesterday it was roughly 12 degrees C. This winter's pretty weird.

Would love to try out and test the alpha, but these damn exams, always messing everything up :(

And temples too, this allows travelers from other races to stop by. I like masterwork because the races we make interact with each other and this will take that to the next level.

Yes, I noticed that. Not sure how long Toady will take for that, but I guess Dwarf, Kobold and Warlock (and Hermit) conversion might keep me up a bit, till I can see the new features for the humans.

Or, you know, he takes another 2 years. :D
