SuicideRey: That screen uses the font tileset. Change it to the one you want too. Its in the Twbt options.

Dracko81: Thanks. I'm on it. Guess its in the init.txt.

Alright - my issue was bedded in the RAR extractor tool I was using.  I switch it out and now works!

Looking good so far!

Hey, thanks!
It works now.

I figured it out on my own, slapped taffer in to twbtfonts folder.

Meph, the armory inputs often want the wrong item - e.g. "Improve metal cap" wants a mail shirt.  About half of them seem to be mixed up that way. I think the weaponry is all fine.

clicking manual causes the launcher to crash. I guess you've not included it since you're rewriting it and stuff is going to change a fair bit from the old.

I've also had a few crashes in DF itself.
I've not been able to pin it down to anything specific, though I suspect it may be a problem with this version of DF as I've got a crash reoccurring in the stock game also, however that's a world that was started a handful of versions ago, so don't know if it's related or not. the crashes I've got in this version of masterwork are too far from the last save to get happening regularly. errorlog doesn't appear to have anything of interest, couple of pathing fails etc.

Meph, I'm not sure how the Tears are supposed to work, but here's what I'm getting:

I encounter a damp stone warning not near any water source.  This happens in several dozen areas scattered across z-levels, the shape and size of gem beds.   If I mine one of those damp squares, it turns into an aquifier, filling up infinite volume.  There are no actual gems or anything called a Tear, just the infinite water. DFhack's prospect does not mention anything unusual.

There are a LOT of these squares - I would estimate 300-400 total in a 2x2 embark.

Aquifers form a 3x3 square around the Tear, as well as from the Tear itself, so discovering a damp wall doesn't mean you'll see the Tear on the other side, it means you'll unclog the 3x3 aquifer on the other side. The easiest and safest way to mine Tears is from above using a channel in the center of the aquifer square, it keeps your miner from cancelling and your tunnels from flooding. Once the Tear is mined the aquifers disappear, and you can continue mining as usual.

EDIT: At least, that's how Tears worked in the last few versions.

suspect this is a problem with floors being built, doing some more tests to try narrow my suspicion down.

Edit: and a quick look in the bug tracker, I find this:  http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/mantisbt/view.php?id=8719

that'll be my problem!

Corrrect.

The large amount of them probably comes because I havent made custom worldgens, and many other new inorganics are not included yet.

I wrote "Combat Books" in the scriptorium. I'm assuming this is supposed to give the ten different combat books for the library. I queued it via the job manager, and got an announcement that it had been completed. however there's nothing showing up in the 'books' section of the stocks screen, and there's nothing in the 't' menu of the scriptorium.

are the books not in yet, or..?

Edit:
tried just one book "Stick them with the pointy end" which seems to have worked fine. it's sitting there in the scriptorium.

Concerning Tears, it's worth noting that layers are generated with only a couple of gem types, and those same types will tend to appear on a regular basis within that layer.  Meaning that if you find one Tear, there are likely to be others nearby.

All the books appear under tools.
