You find your bible before you proceed. You remember that exorcism does not get its power from the exact procedure of performing it, but from the exorcist's faith. You walk back near the star. The book is talking again. You tell it to be silent in the name of the lord, but it doesn't.

"I was hoping to avoid this. Can't we just discuss this like civilized people?"

Physical Condition:
Well
Full
Slightly Tired
Perturbed

Choices:
1. Exorcise the book.
2. Call Donald.
3. Destroy the enneagram.
4. Pick up the book.

Our character would say that there is no divine force in the world other than that of the one true god, because to believe otherwise implies that there are other gods or supernatural forces in the world that undermine god's power.  Believers say that god's power is absolute, right?

That means that this seemingly-heathen "magic" originates from none other than our god himself.  We must face what has been set before us-- a blessing or test from our god!

The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

[In many sects of Christian Theology, there are demons. Jesus confronted demons in the bible. So there is the possibility that the book is inhabited by a demon, or many demons.]

from what I can take, his, there is no more powerful force than Gods, would apply, here. we feel our faith would be very very strong, for we are a priest. Meaning, if it were a deamon, it would have been silent in the lords name. but it wasnt.

I would never argue against the word of the GM, but this is my reasoning on how our character would view this topic:

No demon-- an entity of limited strength-- should be able to stand against the force of our god, which is of infinite strength.  The book has seemingly stood against our god by defying his name (spoken by one of great faith), implying that the book is stronger.  This cannot be!  The only explanation can be that we are dealing with the work of god himself.

So ya what zomara said but with speculation that the book may be divine in origin...

Funny. But seriously, I don't understand that logic.
