Other than that, my "backstory" as it were is complete. It's an in-character document, carried around in a pouch on Torvold's neck. He's morbid like that.
To whom it may concern,
If you are reading this, I am most likely dead. If I am not dead, stop rifling through my belongings and keep your hands to your self. Attached is my Last Will and Testament, as well as letters to my family and to any necromancers intending to make use of my corpse. I ask that you deliver them, along with my body, to my family in Cloedia, Midrath. A reward shall be provided, as set out in the terms of my will, to the one who accomplishs this task. As a warning to any forgers, a copy of my will have been registered with the Death Letter Office in Rheson. You do not want to know what the punishment is for defrauding the family of a registered corpse donor.
The presumably deceased,

All beneficiaries shall recieve an equal share of the residue of my estate. Any omission from bequests is to be taken as intentional. If my estate is insufficent to fulfil all bequests, I instruct my executor to decrease each bequest proportionately to its amount. If any beneficiary contests the provisions of this will in any court, they shall not be entitled to any bequest or benefit underthis will and their share in my estate shall be disposed of as if the contesting beneficiary had not survived me. Mother,
If you are reading this, I have died. I can only hope that it was in battle, fighting for a noble cause. I will be continuing in the family tradition, as Father did, if the Legion will take me.
Having always loved you,
Your son,
Torvold

Lendren,
If you are reading this, I'm dead and probably of violence. Let's hope it wasn't another arrow, eh? If it was through trickery or ambush, try to avenge me if at all practical. Otherwise, please take care of mother now that I am gone. Don't let her brood alone in the house, grieving for me like she did for dad all those years ago.
Your little brother,
Torvold

To whom it may concern,
I, Torvold Levinn, the former inhabitant of this body, do give the following attestation of my life and deeds, for the benefit of any considering an attempt to contact, call or revive me.
I was born on [Date of Birth] in the city of Cloedia and the nation of Midrath to Anver and Martha Levinn nee Yvtte, children respectively of Jamil and Nilsa Levinn nee Gilson and of Dinvil and Isalia Yvtte nee Malvin. At the age of six, my father passed as a result of a fire started in a nearby alchemist's shop. The proprietor was sentenced to provide for the reanimation of my father and for the education of myself in his own trade. I found myself personally incable of performing alchemy, but a natural toward the arts of wizardry. By the age of fifteen I had already mastered a half dozen full spells as well as over twenty lesser cantrips.
At sixteen, I entered into the traditional tour of service with the Legion of Doom, serving in the West Cloedian Arbalists for the full tour both as a line archer and as a mage after an injury to my ribs rendered me incapable of front line service. I remain fully proficient in the use of the heavy and light crossbow, the javelin, the pike, tower shields and gladii. Known to me are the following spells: Protection from Chaos, Comprehend Languages, Chill Touch, Cause Fear, Mage Armour, Detect Undead, Mount, as well as approximately two dozen cantrips outside of the schools of alchemy and illusion.
Additionally, I have begun training as a lawyer and have spent two years apprenticed as a clerk to the Council of Dead. In addition to the obvious legal knowledge required, I am passingly familiar with theology, geography and both the arcane and natural sciences. I speak five languages, to include Common, Elven, Dwarven, Infernal and the system of hand gestures used by the Moon Elves. Finally, I have a natural talent toward seances, permitting the contacting of my ancestors on occasion for advice and counsel. Affidavits to all of these facts, as well as a copy of my will have been registered with the Death Letter Office in Rheson.
I consent to be resurrected, reincarnated or otherwise revived with my faculties intact on the condition that no debt not previously arranged shall be incurred as a result of accepting such revivification. I further consent to be reanimated or transformed into an undead servant by the Legion of Doom, the Council of Dead or any designated appointee of the same. I do not consent to be reanimated by other parties. In the event that my last will and testament was carried out, a message should be included along with this letter describing the circumstances of my death. I hope for both our sakes that it is both accurate and detailed.
