The one claim I actually find dubious is the one about it being unlikely that people run into each other. The game guides everyone to the center of the universe. This means that everyone has to start within reasonable travel distance from there and everyone should eventually go to a relatively small part of the game if I understand it correctly. This is not a fact though, just my predictions based on what little info is available. We won't know for sure until later.
But when you get there, apparently this happens

RW: you spend 2+ minutes (he was already in it when he started recording, apparently) in a reverse starfield screensaver, then your ship turns around and it's a normal starfield screensaver for 30 or so seconds, and then it dumps you on a planet in a new galaxy with a damaged ship so apparently you have to do the beginning of the game all over again
Yes, someone reached it in the released PS4 version already. I was expecting it to take a little longer, but apparently it's ezpz.
Well, it's supposed to be out now, according to the timers. I know that this is rarely an accurate thing, but at least it's hilarious to watch the steam forums turn on themselves in desperation.
I thought it was coming out at 1pm EST, as in a bit under 1 hour from now
I wouldn't know, because people insist on not using GMT for stuff, and I can't be arsed to know what EST or PST or whatever means.

Obviously, PST is Pak'ma Standard Time.
