(This would be a good time to remind the party they can split whenever they want, however they want)

The man takes another long drink as you loose your barrage of questions, successfully avoiding speech in favor of beer. He sets it down hard on the bartop as he finished, successfully draining the remainder of the glass in the second gulp. Seeing no other way to avoid speaking, and apparently a talkative drunk, he begins to answer the questions the best he can remember.

"If it weren't local, I doubt the sheriff would bring it up, would he? Nothin to worry about, though. Suppose the most local thing he brought up was some ship thieves. Nothin big, just some small fish from even smaller ponds thinkin' they found a good way to make money. They managed to make off with someone's ship here on the Hub, but they won't last long. They are supposed to be taken alive, not even dangerous enough to kill, but I suspect they will find a bullet between their shoulders the second they try that again. I rekon you could call em pirates if you wanted, since they are scum with a space ship. That word don't mean much, does it?

My name ain't important, we will probably never see each other again. Ain't lookin' for a wingman, either. Friendly word of advice, never take a wingman braver then you are. For me, that means never taking a wingman. I'm all for good fun tracking down small fry, but I got a wife and kids. I'd hold you back anyway.

The other request is to track down an Outlaw who escaped some backwater jail on a small name planet. He's wanted dead or alive there, and as a killer to boot. I don't think he would be willing to make trouble here, ain't lookin to commit suicide, but he is either hiding out here or somewhere nearby.

Can I get a refill?"

The bartender had already filled his cup up as he was talking, replacing it as he was looking at you.

"Yeah. It is on your tab. Just like the last one..."

The doors slam open and close once again, as Leon walks away from the bar with a word of thanks. The remaining patrons seem to be drinking or questioning the drinking man. After another long sip, this changed to a group of silent men listening to drunken answers.

"Sorry, pal, ain't got more info on the Outlaw. Like I said, I just got the job offers on the way to the bar and wasn't much interested in 'em. The sheriff could tell ya more, this old drunk is at the edge of his wits already. The drink ain't helping either.

As for directions, I could give you the cords of his office, but it ain't exactly an office job. Poor guy runs across the county all day, wouldn't envy him. He probably is looking after the docks right now. I'll bet he will answer his comms though. You all seem awful interested, I could hand ya his comm data. Send him a wire and I am sure he could tell you whatever you want to know.

Hey Cap, you got a pen and paper?"

The man proceeds to right information on a sheet of paper, tearing off a piece to hand to the thee questioning patrons between sips of his drink.

"Hope that helps. Don't die on me, I got enough on my soul already."

***

Just outside the bar, Jean stands alone. Around him are several buildings, all with the same design as the one behind him. In front of each was a brightly colored sign, each a different color. "SANDWORM PAWN & GUN", "FAST JACK'S STARSHIP REPAIR", "HUB PLANETARY BANK". The sheriff was nowhere in sight. Under the Bank's sign, there was a complex series of tubes looking something like a digital calculator's numbers. In bright red letters, it warned "TIME TO NEXT STORM: 3:14:15", slowly counting down the seconds.

Wander around town looking around while seeking the Sheriff. See if anyone else has interesting jobs.

Send the sheriff a message, asking about the outlaw. Assuming I have something I can send him a message with.

(I am a bit tired, but really need to get another post up. Forgive me, again!)

Two men get up with their own words of thanks, leaving one after the other through the loud doors.

"You sure are skilled at scaring away paying costumers..." The bartender states, wiping a wet rag across the vacant parts of the bar.

Selv Akkerson remained, checking over himself. He briefly manages to make contact with Major Tom using his music player, but otherwise finds himself without comms. He quickly asks the bartender and is given directions to a public comms room upstairs, which he is free to use.

After finding the simple staircase leading to the rooms at the tavern, Selv finds the room directed and opens the much quieter non-automatic style door to the comms room. It is rather dark, with a single metallic chair surrounded by a large structure filled with blinking lights, levers, dials, and other mechanical parts. He puts in the comms information of the sheriff, moving several dials to the correct frequency and pushing the correct buttons. A slightly staticy voice of a young sounding man picks up.

"*garbled* County sheriff's office, whatchya got?"

Selv then asks about the outlaw.

"You going after him? I know a bit. They sent his file over the comms. Not my bounty, his home planet wants him. What do you want to know?"

***

Outside the bar, Desim Selebus and Everett Owen see the same scene Jean saw. Of course, the sign now read "TIME TO NEXT STORM: 3:12:44", but otherwise the town changed little.

They immediately split up, walking in opposite directions through the town.

Desim Selebus passes dozens of buildings, still almost identical aside from the bright lights showing what the building is. Not much interesting happens, not many people out. The heat is a bit annoying, but just this short trip outside is nothing for a Frontiersman. He eventually finds another job, outside a restaurant specializing in sandwiches, and again outside a restaurant specializing in pizza. They are both the same thing, both with small rewards. Find what happened to their exotic cheese shipments!

Meanwhile, Leon Khai had started is own wondering down a much different path. He had gotten further than anyone else, having started before them, but otherwise has a similar story. The buildings might very well be sand dunes, if not for the lights. Similarly, he hears several restaurants paying small sums to figure out what happened to their precious cheese. He overhears some more interesting job offers given to other Frontiersman, but when he confronts the offer-er for more information he is always turned down. They say he is an unknown, and they don't want his death on their soul. They say he can come back when he proved himself more.

He gets one more offer that he can accept. "Oh, you are looking for a job, eh son? I got one. Got one just for you~!" An elderly man wearing a blue bath robe offers from inside his doorway. While saying that, he reveals his wrinkled shoulder, wiggles his eyebrows, and curls his fingers saying "Come in".

Everett Owen makes it through the town that you know the rest. He easily finds the dock, after a good amount of walking. Giant sand-shields, often covered in their own personal dunes, block off the sensitive equipment of the ships without blocking off the top. They need somewhere to escape, after all. He enters easily enough, finding several "posse members" with shotguns or revolvers walking around the entrances. When asked about the sheriff, they say he just left to take a comm call and will be back soon.
