Blue:
Reallocate two from mines to the farms and woodcutters, research Civic, train a few more workers, and build another woodcutter's if possible.

Also, send the scout to uncover a single ruin.

Small tip for everyone here

As someone who just came back from watching a YouTube video of this game, I seriously recommend it (watching a YouTube video that is). Videos help you understand the pacing and a bunch of other important things about this game.

Also train science up to level two
I'd make sure we have our city ready before researching the second level. Just in case there's not enough wood.

I want to get lumber mills, and granarys up as soon as possible. The sooner we get those resource multipliers the more resources we'll end up with. It's like rushing M.U.L.E.S in starcraft 2. Still I don't know how things are different in this game

Also thanks for pointing out the wood shortage. We have 3 forests and only one woodcutter.

Build woodcutters on those 2 other forests (one per forest). Try to train at least 8 idle citizens. If there are still resources left from researching science, building cities etc. then train 12 citizens in addition to the 8 already built. Priorities are currently: Second city, merchant, woodcutters, 8 citizens, barracks, military units, research, 12 citizens.

What do you guys think?

Jee wilikers, I think Highmax is near invulnerable, must have been dunked in the river styx like achilles was.
Just make sure he wears a boot.
