Offer Alliance to the Auros Republic.

Start developing tenets of Modern Chemistry.

2 armies from #83 and 1 army from #82 to #86, and build HQ there.
Then construct academies in #85 and #92.

Turn Update 1.4

The Talmurian Empire offers Auros an Alliance. Their diplomats already eager since before the year started, they quickly sign the documents ratifying the treaty.

The Empire also moves its forces towards the border, constructing a new military camp, and builds academies to help its new push towards scientific discovery.

In a surprising development, the Federal news outlets have announced that they have received a depeche from the people of Western (and Eastern, but it's downplayed) Falcland, who apparently feel inadequately protected and politically unfulfilled. Referendums are scheduled for February and polite, uniformed people are sent to make sure they are not interfered with.

Army movements:

47->48
2x31->47
32->47

Constutction:
HQ in 47, academy in 46,32.
fort in 41.

Research: explosive shells.
A
temporary treaty of 1 IC for "general goodwill" is offered to Aethonian Empire.
(starting next turn.)

Turn Update 1.6

The USA sends all of its soldiers to construct new military camps in preparation for the future and constructs new research facilities.

The People's Self-governing Federation of Democratic Republics invades Guniburg's Falclands! The northernmost territory is now under PSFDR occupation. It also builds a new military camp along the new front and established new research facilities.

EDIT: oops, knock off 2 PSFDR armies

After the sudden invasion of the PSFDR into guniburg, the president has decided that the empire also should start up his war engine. Both naval as land production facilities are increased, while engineers and scientists work together to develop machines that will eventually open up a third front, in the skies.
Later the engineer division send by the PSFDR is welcomed, but they need to rest untill next month before they can be put to use. A letter is send back, thanking the PSFDR for the division, and expressing that recources can and will be send if possible should the need ever rise.

move 2 armies from 38 to 42
Move 1 army from 40 to 42
Build HQ in 42
Build Port in 43
Build academy in 39, 40
Accept IC treaty from PSFDR
Start research on primitive planes.

Minister Macaroni Falcaroni XVIII issued an official statement the moment he was informed of the PSFDR approach over the Northern borders. RRRRRR THAT FUCKER! I swear to god I'll kill him with my bare talons! They'll have to bury him in a bucket after I'm done with him! Little shit.. Hey, is that thing on-? Minister Falconi subsequently gave the order for his own polite uniformed people to escort the PSFDR force gently back across the border.

2 Armies from 100 > 105

HQ in 105
Academy in 101, 102
Port in 100

Guniburg sends its forces across the channel and builds fortifications in case the PSFDR continues its approach. It also builds more research labs far from the front lines and begins a project on Explosive Shells. It also builds a new naval port on its island's shores.

The Aethonian Empire builds another military camp and like Guniburg starts work on a Port to expand its naval power. Further, it accepts a gift of construction resources from its ally, the PSFDR.

Aethonian Empire receives +1 PI/turn from PSFDR due to Resource Exchange

Turn Update 2.1

Its early research efforts providing fruit, the Agatean Empire continues its scientific exploration of the new technology, in hopes of unlocking the secret of Death Rays Radio Communication. It also builds more HQs and research centers, knowing that the non-aggressive people of Mahdama will not initiate the first strike.

Brilliant work as always Glowcat o_o
Death Rays is the communication. :P

"I believe everything is in order, advisor?"
"Any sign of dissent is placated, my King."
"Good, I shall leave you to your work--ensure the northern border is well-supplied; while the Talmurs have nowhere else to go but south (or the Great Unknown of the North), or by sea, I'd not wish a war this early. It is against our nature."
"Yes, friend King."

As Caduceus left the war room, King Militaris brooded over the recent events as well as collected intelligence. He was worried about the safety of the people under his command--as the Republic believed in appointing three 'Kings', each heading Civic resources, Military resources and an overseer of both respectively, though the term is only of the position and nothing more. Local intelligence reports at least six armies on the border-countries, and applying foresight, there would be total inefficiency if the Talmurs waged war by sea, given that their only front was the old Xastrian coast...of which he had forgotten its name in the current time due to the ever-changing shift of control.

"Accursed alliance," he said mostly to himself, as was his wont to speak out his thoughts in seeming private. "They will come, sooner or later, and a pre-emptive strike is in the best concern for our nation, regardless of what the other advisors say. Do they not see the status of all our borders rather than the peace of just the state?!

"This...is outrageous. When will anyone have to act until disaster strikes?"

Unbeknownst to him, Caduceus was only a step away outside the exit, and heard all that was mentioned--in truth, he felt the same, though he couldn't bear to engage in such a travesty just yet. The morning papers would be sent through the country in an hour, and decisions had to be made accordingly.

Meanwhile, on the northern front...
"Finally, orders from the chief."
"...They want us to what?"

Turn Update 2.2

In a surprise assault that shocked the world, the pacifistic Republic of Auros declared WAR on Talmuria not a year after an alliance between the two was signed. Completely unprepared, the poor soldiers defending the garrison along the borders were slaughtered by superior manpower brought together by Auros's railroads.

Reporters from every news outlet across Eurosa, and some international reporters from the east and south, are clamoring to get a statement from King Caduceus and Emperor Tarmar II about the events that transpired between these nations.

COMBAT REPORT

Since no other countries can have any effect on the empire for now, the president already has issued orders to be done when the time is ripe.
According to calculations performed by the head of the science department, the new technology, planes are they called, will be finished by the beginning of the fifth month at soonest. But with the new academies constructed, there will be some scientists who won't be able to do something that month.
Therefore he has suggested that the crew of an entire academy, which was just constructed by PSFDR's engineers as a matter of fact, could be tranferred over to PSFDR command as a return of favor until our technology is finished.
The president has accepted this proposal, and hopes they can be of better use with their project then with ours.

Move 2 armies from 42 to 43
Move 1 army from 38 and 40 each to 42
Build fleet and HQ in 43
Build academies in 42, 44 and 45
Offer PSFDR treaty to give them 3 RP/ turn ( I am democratic)

The Citizen's Union announced that a Declaration of WAR was in effect against the Bishe Khaganate.  "The continued military buildup on our borders is a clear sign of their intent to invade and violate our sovereignty," said First Citizen Hill.  "We are only doing what we must to protect our citizens."
