It would be funny. But then Un67 would have to make each choice again to get us back to reality.

If this is a possibility, I would love to see alternate realm us being rude to the king.

Theoretically, I could, but I would have to go back through the entire game again, since there's no save option in the game. I'm afraid that with the sheer number of choices we've made so far, I might accidentally do something that messes up the continuity, so I don't think I'm going to do that, sorry. :(

He wasn't the first weak king. I showed him how the kingdom suffered when the king was timid and lacked confidence. He did his best to stand up to the nobles.
(History +10)

King Travis had been on the throne for a few years when we received a missive from a distant northern duchy. The duke asked when we would be picking up the taxes that had been stockpiling for years. It had been a clerical error. We hadn't realized the oversight. We decided to send the money to Tornassa by caravan immediately. Unfortunately, word of the rich target became public. I decided to go to the duchy to escort the coins safely to Tornassa.

"Thank the Gods you've arrived!" the duke said.

He was a good and honest man, having collected the money without spending it. I commended him for his integrity before leaving with the cargo train of gold. We had barely left the northern city when trouble arrived. The caravan master and his guards tried to double-cross us by demanding a higher wage than we had negotiated before leaving. He was a dwarf, so his greedy nature seemed natural.

1) I attacked the caravan master and his guards, keeping the gold for myself.
2) I paid the bribe out of my own pocket. (Needs 1500 Gold)
3) I fired the dwarves, calling their bluff.
4) I let the guards take a large share of the tax money.

3. We are the most powerful wizard in the kingdom. If he calls our bluff, we can just protect it ourselves.

3). If they want to fight about it, they obviously have no clue who exactly they are dealing with.

There is no right choice. It is a path choice.
1 is evil, but probably similar to 3 and involves a skill check.
2 costs us money but lets us keep the guards, same as 4, with 2 probably being more good.
The guards probably make a future event easier, but cost money.

3 - millions for defense, not one cent for tribute!  Anyway from the text it doesn't sound like "all dwarvenkind", just this greedy wanker and his crew.  And they shoulda thought twice before trying to scam gold from the forumites of a DF message board, where taking care of inconvenient caravan guards is pretty routine...

The dwarves stood dumbstruck for some time, but finally they laughed and walked away. They weren't thieves, they were simply trying to extort more money from me. I found myself in the wilderness with several saddlebags full of gold.

1) I returned quickly to the duke and hired more guards. (Needs 200 Gold)
2) I carried on without any guards.
