1; She just fled from all her wealth, do we really want to force her to pawn the few belongings she brought with her, or borrow from the elves?

If the King sends people for us, well, we're a troll wizard and we have companions.

Rumors of the princess having left the castle were rampant when I returned. Luckily, King Gareth never connected it to myself or my party. It was easy to see that the princess was correct; had she stayed, she likely would have been imprisoned or killed.

Four years went by as we continued to do various jobs for various clients. We were slowly growing in fame and reputation.

I continued to study a little bit of everything.

I was content to keep my magical education well-rounded.
