My spell shimmered in the air, showing the elf very clearly. He had gotten across most of Daria and was waiting for a ship along the eastern coast. It was no wonder that nobody found him in Tornassa since the Silver Sea was on the other side of Daria. We left immediately.
(Divination +10, Geography +5)

My horse wasn't ideal since he wasn't trained for combat, and I knew I could get Dog trained for 350 gold.

I didn't have Dog trained.

I was happy with the way Dog was and saw no need for extra training at that time. It was a long way to the Silver Sea, especially since only I had a mount.

We had no choice but to walk the entire way.

It was a very long walk. It took us over a month to finally get to the Silver Sea. It also cost us a lot of money in food, travel gear and renting rooms at inns.
(Gold -60)

The smell of salt hung in the air as we arrived at the shores of the Silver Sea. I saw large ships and the blue ocean for the first time in my life. We got to work, looking for the elf once again. When we asked around, we were given very specific directions to a street down by the docks. It seemed like luck was with us.

We went to the seaside and searched where we were told. The alley was dark and smelled of fish. I'll never forget seeing that enormous fist flying right towards my face!

1) I took the punch, not letting it slow me down. (Needs 30 Body)
2) I blocked the punch. (Needs 25 Fighting)
3) I fought through the dizziness. (Needs 30 Willpower)

I conjured a very quick shield. (Needs 25 Conjuration)
4) I awoke a few minutes later.

It is funny how little magic seems to matter to our wizard.

My hand moved out of instinct and knocked the punch aside before it could hit me. The sailors who had ambushed us were very surprised.
(Fighting +10)

There were six sailors in total, and they were all large, muscular men.

1) I let Stewart handle it. (Needs Fighter Power 4)
I sprayed the sailors with hard balls of ice. (Needs 25 Conjuration)
2) I threw punches right back at them. (Needs 25 Fighting)
I created the illusion of a sea monster. (Needs 25 Illusion)
I summoned a swarm of spiders. (Needs 25 Summoning)

3) I pled for mercy.

It wasn't my first street brawl. I stood side-by-side with Stewart and fought the sailors using their own methods. Together, we won the fight.
(Fighting +10)

The sailors turned on the elf right away, telling us everything. They had been hired to slow down any pursuers in order to allow him a chance to get away. We went immediately to where we were told he could be found. We found him at a seaside bar called the Rusty Harpoon, where the elf was sitting at a table and having a drink.

I got Stewart to rough him up a bit. (Needs Fighter Power 5)

Stewart was happy to do it. The next day, we started our long trip back to Tornassa with the elf in tow.
(Fighting +5, Warcraft +5)

The return trip went better than I suspected. I asked the elf prisoner why he had been locked up.

"I honestly don't know," the elf said. "I was the official ambassador to the elf nation, it makes no sense for your king to have thrown me in the dungeons."

Memories of the elf attack on my village went through my head as he spoke. I guessed that he must be connected in some way, despite what he claimed.

I spoke to the prisoner a lot during the trip back. (Needs 30 Personality)
1) We played chess every night during our trip back. (Needs 15 Warcraft)
2) I was cruel to him during the trip back.
3) I was civil to the prisoner, being careful to keep our boundaries professional.
