A question: if we ever encounter binary decisions that basically boil down to Fail and Don't Fail, do you guys want me to just pick the non-failure option to save some time, like I did in this post? Or should I leave those decisions up to you guys?

***

It cost 10 gold to join, but it was exciting. I took the practice blade and stood in the participant box. It was thrilling, having Hermann cheering me on from the sidelines.
(Gold -10)

I fought well. (Needs 30 Fighting)

I did quite well. I fought hard, and although I didn't win the competition, I placed high enough to win 250 gold! It was a great achievement, considering that the winning fighters devoted their lives to the blade.
(Gold +250)

We had a wonderful time at the tournament and returned to the Academy that night.

1) We went to my room and made love.
2) We had a beautiful goodnight kiss and went to our separate rooms.

Any opinions on what I should do for those Fail/Don't Fail options?

((Wait, Hermann was a dude right?))
Nope. Hermann the Human is a her. Says so right in the name :P

And yeah, 1. Cultured troll is best troll. Wait, I'm lagging behind. 2. Let's not do anything too risky, quite yet. On one hand, you'd expect the relationship in question not to bear accidental fruit, but on the other hand, wizards. Best not to risk it.

Goodness it always seems to be better to actually get those bonus for classes. As otherwise you are getting a netgain in the negatives.
Nah, it zeros out if you study hard for all your classes (though you get a nice gain in willpower), at least so far as the classes go -- the whole school thing nets at least like +15 to all magic schools and +30 to your chosen, on top of any incidental whatsits that pop-up. The alternate options give alternate bonuses (usually unrelated to magic, from what we've seen) without the negatives.

Any opinions on what I should do for those Fail/Don't Fail options?
Don't fail. Succeed less should probably be forgone as well, as per that healing check a bit back...

I'll switch my vote to 2 for a clear consensus.

It was very sweet. I was madly in love with Hermann. Whatever the future after the Academy held in store and the challenges it would bring, I knew that I would be at her side.

My studies in the tower didn't deal exclusively with magic. The royal wizard, Fraledan, was a great example. As the court mage, he was constantly being relied upon to know about the world around him in order to effectively advise the king. Sometimes a wizard's sagely knowledge was just as beneficial as their arcane power.

1) I studied a little of everything.
2) I studied a lot about agriculture. (Agriculture: 5)
3) I studied a lot about diplomacy. (Diplomacy: 35)
4) I studied a lot about economics. (Economics: 10)
5) I studied a lot about geography. (Geography: 20)
6) I studied a lot about history. (History: 30)
7) I studied a lot about religion. (Religion: 20)
8) I studied a lot about smithing. (Smithing: 12)
9) I studied a lot about warcraft. (Warcraft: 30)

9.

Something tells me that warcraft wouldn't be an option if the possibility of war wasn't in the future. ;.;

We may have to be prepared to lead in case the great shadow of war descend once more.
