Although all of my various techniques for fixing the plants failed, I was able to track the infection back to its source.
(Nature +10)
The infection all came from a single tree in the center of a small forest of rotted vegetation. It was obviously not natural, but it was also not readily apparent as to why this tree was spreading disease across the land.
I chopped down the tree.
I had an idea as to what was happening. (Needs Religion 70)I left the tree alone, leaving the blight to continue to grow.
The power and seemingly random nature of the problem made me think that a God was behind it. It would be an evil God, one of corruption and disease. I searched around the tree and soon found the ancient altar that I had suspected would be there. A short creature covered in pus-oozing lesions stepped forward from behind the altar.
(Religion +10)
The pus-covered man said that he was actually the avatar to the God of Pestilence, Corruption, and Disease. He said that he was being worshiped by a new cult of followers, and the blight was his gift to the world.
I talked him into giving the 'gift' directly to his followers. (Needs 50 Personality)1) My angelic nature drove him away.I forced the man to stop spreading the blight. (Needs 90 Enchantment)2) I attacked the man.
3) I begged the man to allow me to serve him.
4) I left the man alone.Gorl Rockeater, an angelic troll wizard.
