I had lived a very good life. The good Gods of the world were pleased with my actions. I beseeched their aid in our quest, and they answered in a very real way, granting us the power of angelic blood in our veins. Hermann was the most affected, her divine magic growing dramatically. People could actually feel our presence when we walked into a room.
(Body +10, Personality +10, Religion +25, Good +20)

Any child could tell you where Parnaxxus lived. His mountain lair was legendary and mentioned in every bardic tale about him. It was rumored to be filled with the treasure of all those who had failed to slay him. We went straight to the mountain, ready to bring down the beast. We paused for a few moments, looking up at the smoke drifting out of the cave at the summit. A mighty roar from above told us that Parnaxxus knew we were coming.

I dismounted from my warhorse Dog and took a deep breath before nodding to the others. We began to climb the steep slope up to Parnaxxus' lair.

The attack from Parnaxxus happened the instant we stepped into his lair. The cavernous opening allowed us to walk four across as we ventured deep into the mountain. Suddenly, the enormous dragon was right there in front of us.

"Why do you come to my lair, mortals?" the mighty dragon bellowed.

1) I bravely told him that we were there to slay him.
2) I asked him to leave the kingdom alone.
3) We attacked him immediately, hoping to have the advantage of surprise.
4) I asked him to teach me his magic.
5) I told him we were there to learn his story.

I had my party distract him while I stole some of his treasure. (Needs 75 Thievery)
6) I begged for mercy.

Then we can write a book about it and split the profits! We'll both be rich!
And we'll get to use economics.

EDIT: Or we will find that we were both the victims of TRAGEDY. That also works.

Parnaxxus said nothing at first, but simply stared at us with his reptilian eyes.

"You are brave, wizard," the dragon said. "It has been a long time since I've spoken to one of your kind."

I was amazed when he began to speak. He told me of his time as a wyrmling, fighting for survival among his litter-mates. It was a harsh life, with only one of each litter surviving their deadly upbringing. He spoke of how he had defeated many knights and eventually claimed the mountaintop for himself. His story took hours to tell and spanned centuries. I began to respect the beast, which made what he said next even more startling.
(History +15)

"Now that you know my story, you must die. As you have learned, it is my nature to defeat any who rival me. Goodbye, friend."

Then he flapped his mighty wings and dove directly toward us! He crashed right into Stewart, who managed to hold him at bay with his shield and his sword. Maris circled around Parnaxxus and began to stab into his scaly back with her enchanted dagger. Parnaxxus unleashed a great gout of flame, engulfing me before I could move! Hermann was right there, restoring my body with her divine magic. I scrambled to my feet, eager to add my own might to the battle. My party was well-trained and well-equipped; I knew that if I lost now, it would be my own fault. Suddenly, a second blast of flame came directly towards me!

We stood in the flame, having recently drunk potions of Fireproofing. (Needs 75 Alchemy)
I countered the flame with an ice shield. (Needs 75 Conjuration)

I had foreseen this. (Needs 75 Divination)
I commanded Parnaxxus to stop. (Needs 75 Enchantment)
I healed the damage. (Needs 75 Healing)
I tricked the dragon with an Illusion. (Needs 75 Illusion)
I raised the dragon's other victims. (Needs 75 Necromancy)
I summoned a mighty giant to defend us! (Needs 75 Summoning)
I turned the fire into water. (Needs 75 Transmutation)

The flames enveloped us all.

The fire rolled forward, but we weren't hit—we were all lying flat on our stomachs. I had coached the party before the fight, telling them that this was what we must do.
(Divination +10)

Stewart rushed forward once more, slashing across the dragon's face with his sword. The mighty beast howled in rage; he had never fought opponents as skilled as we were. His scaly tail came around in a blur, striking Maris across the stomach and into the rocky wall, knocking her unconscious. Parnaxxus surged forward, taking Hermann into his powerful jaws and throwing her into Stewart, knocking them both out of the fight. It was just Parnaxxus and I. My party had gotten me to this point, but it was up to me to slay the dragon. I saw a claw the size of a wagon descending directly toward me, and I had no time to cast a spell.

1) I dove out of the way. (Needs 40 Body)
2) I dodged the blow. (Needs 90 Fighting)
3) Cat, my dog, provided the distraction needed.
4) I was crushed by his weight.

Also I missed something why is this fight so difficult? Ohhhh... we are fighting a dragon...

And we are managing to out combat our fighter with this next dodge.

Our lack of magic... might... hurt this... Hopefully we know some dragon pressure points thanks to our PHD in history.

Bah, we can just Divine them. We knew this was going to happen.

2. Time for dragon smackdown, even if we have to poke his eyes out to do it for lack of useful magic. (Although we have so much diplomacy maybe we can still turn him into an ally :V)
