No point in depleting our forces (or they might get better, but they're already excellent).

We have 100 diplomacy, we might even be able to talk them into allying with us against someone else. :V

I hadn't considered that! Even bigger armies are better!

We sallied forth from the castle and struck the enemy from three sides at once. It was a masterful maneuver. They collapsed under our might, giving us the respite we needed.
(Warcraft +10)

It was a little strange, having an entire nation so close to us yet not on a conventional map. I spent the days in my tower, preparing a solution. I had figured out that my magic-nullifying amulet wasn't a trap for mages, but rather it had loosened the planar seal, melting a way into the other world by accident. I suspected that if I could get my hands on the amulet again, I could seal the planes shut for good.

I enchanted an officer to do my bidding. (Needs 60 Enchantment)
I killed an officer and raised him as my ghoul. (Needs 70 Necromancy)
I bribed an officer to get my things back.

I was a little worried that the Enchantment might not hold on the other side, but it did. He returned a few weeks later with all of my belongings.
(Enchantment +10)

With the amulet in my hands once again, I rushed back to my tower. I spent a few weeks preparing the spell before I cast it. The amulet flared brightly once again as the holes between the worlds snapped shut. The remains of the army were trapped on our side for good. The war was over.

The time I had spent as a pitfighter and a soldier had taught me many things. I recruited the men I knew from the captured prisoners. With all connection to their homeland gone, they pledged allegiance to the crown and to me. They would make excellent soldiers.
(Kingdom Army Increases, Army Power +1, Fame +1)

Although I had wanted to spend time with my friends and family, there was a lot to do in those first few months after the Planewar ended. Besides the rebuilding, there were still thousands of Vallorn citizens stuck in Daria.

1) I had the prisoners executed.
2) I gave the prisoners a northern duchy of their own.
3) I had the prisoners assimilated into society all across Daria.

The options are in order: murder everyone, make a land to the north with magic-phobes, or take them in.

Hm, have you considered murder?  It's either that or letting it go.

In a hole in the ground there lived a dwarf. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a dwarf fortress, and that means magma.

It was good to keep them away from each other, allowing them to become contributing members to the kingdom without being a threat to its security.
(Economics +10)

Unfortunately, King Travis had not been idle while I was gone. Without my support, he gave up his authority as king to the nobles of the court. He had signed away many of his ruling powers, giving them jurisdiction over several aspects of the kingdom.

1) The citizens demanded that power be returned to their king. (Needs 100 Kingdom Faction)
I tricked the nobles into returning power to King Travis. (Needs 90 Illusion)
2) I found reasons for each noble to return power to King Travis. (Needs 90 Divination)
3) I made the nobles return power to King Travis. (Needs 90 Enchantment)
4) I killed all of the nobles and replaced them with people who would serve me better.
5) I did nothing.

1). We're full up on magic, so let's give the King a confidence booster.
