Nicholas grew up in Aletros as the son of an unimportant male soldier and a mediocre female mage. His parents were kind yet pushy, as they wanted Nicholas to achieve more in his life then they had managed to, preferably in one of the holy institutions of the land. This caused young Nicholas to always be under quite a lot of pressure, and he was always busy studying the holy and magical arts. Although he had a lot of respect for the work and skills of his father, his parents were convinced his future was that of a priest or monk.

After Bacher Pass fell and the lands of Aletros was invaded by the witches, Nicholas and his parents fled, and his parents had made their minds up once again: Nicholas was to join the Knights of Kala as a member of their order. Of course he was scared, but Nicholas was sure of it that his parents knew what was right for him.

Hopefully this is alright. I'll try to make a mug, otherwise I will have to ask someone for a bit of help.

1. That it spawns absolutely massive threads that I will probably never have the patience to read through.
2. Roleplaying, primarily.
3. Supports, primarily, but that's probably because I largely skimmed through that section of the rule book, and I never paid huge amounts of attention to them in the FE games.

1: Seems pretty cool. I like how close it seems to the actual Fire Emblem games while keeping a distance from the originals and staying its own game at the same time. Reading the handbook feels kind of like reading some kind of FE game mechanics breakdown, heh.
2: I hope that I play in some pretty epic games at some point. Otherwise, I just want to have the kind of fun I get out of playing FE.
