Common items like water, stone and dirt are either free to acquire or are included in your taxes.
Rare items like gemstones, rare metals, alchemy ingredients, rare creature skins, etc... must either be bartered from adventurers/miners/hunters or found by following an adventuring party, which means you will have to have someone watching your shop, and you'll have to pay them.

lvl 1: Health potion: 1 Brew base or water, 5 jars mushroom spores: Heals light wounds
lvl 1: Magic potion: 1 Brew base or water, 5 g.shroom cilia: Increases magic casting ability
lvl 1: Strength potion: 1 Brew base or water, 5 fire bloom: Buffs adventurer damage
lvl:1 Heat rune: .5 bottle of ink: Causes weapons to do a small amount of heat damage, armor resists cold damage
lvl 1: Preservation rune: .5 bottle of ink: lightly reduces wear and tear on weapons and armor
lvl 1: Holy rune: .5 bottle of ink: lightly increases damage against undead and demons
lvl 1: Cold rune: .5 bottle of ink: Causes weapons to do a small amount of cold damage, armor resists heat damage
