Fantasy Shop Owner RPG
Four months ago, the Black Comet appeared in the sky and with it, monsters across the world became immensely aggressive, launching coordinated strikes against villages and towns throughout the known world. A great many died in the onslaught, and, from what those who escaped the carnage can tell, the various kingdoms of the world have closed their gates for protection... however, it is only a matter of time till most run out of food.
Your various masters were out of town the day that the Comet arrived, and it is safe to assume that they are no longer amongst the living. So, apprentices, it falls to you to take care of their shops and supply our people with the tools we need to survive.
Luckily our kingdom has wonderful natural defenses, and the monsters have put us under only mild duress thus far, but the loss of our best craftsmen weighs heavily on our rapidly aging worked resources.

Political Climate: A monarchy ruled by the Onelat family, though the king delegates most law making to the nobility elected parliament, his word is final. The King has not been seen since the Comet arrived although decrees from him and his family have been sent out and taxes are still collected. They had neutral relations with the nearby elves and dwarves, but the calamity has cut them off and it is unknown how they would react to humans entering their lands again.

Political Climate: A theocracy ruled by the High Council, they worship the spirits of the woods who, as of late have been silent. They still collect taxes and issue decrees as though the forest was still speaking to them though. They had friendly relations with the nearby fae and neutral relations with the nearby humans.

Political Climate: An oligarchy ruled by the most successful merchants, as with the other kingdoms, they have largely disappeared from the politics, occasionally sending out decrees, tax collectors and commissions. They had friendly relations with the gnomes and neutral relations with the humans
